  1. I always viewed him as a shitter Marcus Bent. So yeah, not that great.
  2. No, because I and a few others mentioned some last week to you. Anyone interested in a balanced discussion or harbouring informed opinions, is totally aware of the countless managers who have been available and surpassed the results of our own. Sadly, it seems you are just a wind-up merchant or even worse, an attention seeker - which either way is a massive shame for yourself and the site.
  3. Comical how you claim the better managers out there are mysterious. They aren't. They've been named countless times and I think each and every one who went on to work for a smaller club than our own, performed really well. We currently have a manager who consistently can't the best out of what we have. A manager who struggles to improve the squad with £15m of investment. A manager who can't pick a settled side, who can't get us fit, believing and motivated and who can't stop us leaking goals and making schoolboy errors. He sounds like a real miracle worker.
  4. Dack apart, I think every young pĺayer has stagnated at best but mainly regressed. How that man can champion wasteful, one-dimensional players but then vilify creativity and belief is embarassing. He has gone out of his way to block progression by placing under-qualified midfielders or strikers in their positions and used them as scape goats. The sooner he is gone, the better because the club is unravelling. That purple patch of one great performance and a few raggy wins papered over some chasms that some choose not to see. Very soon, we are going to be left with crocks and disillusioned players and no money to improve the squad. The best we can hope for is a new man to invigorate what we have and get some freebies lined up for after the summer exodus.
  5. Here here. It is shite. Absolute, muddled up, predictable, tedious, shite.
  6. I would've thought that in hindsight almost every fan would realise what a decent player, excellent servant and class act Pedersen was. Same goes for Emerton. Never bad players, rarely bad games but often their consistent hard work went unnoticed. Those were the good old days and I'd have them back in a shot.
  7. I think it says it all about our training methods and general fitness. The players clearly aren't fit. That's why games end with a whimper and we can't cope when teams go for us.
  8. I don't think that Armstrong valuation is realistic. I think we'd only get the same back what we paid. I agree that if used correctly, the players you mention would do well - in turn their value will increase. Sadly, Mowbray seems to shackle creativity and favours a series of sideways and backwards passes.
  9. Bell has no value either, his contract is up in June.
  10. You keep consistently overlooking the fact it is Mowbray's failures that have put us at risk of FFP. It also really bemuses me that you seem to think he will somehow do a better job without money - when the evidence (in terms of performances, selections and long winless runs) suggest he's struggling whilst he's had it to waste. Additionally, the Venkys made 3 out of the last 4 managerial appointments very sensibly, one of them Mowbray (who did some positives but has clearly run his course now imo). I don't fear their next appointment as much as I fear the continued implosion if we don't make one. Preston at home will show hostility towards TM if we are served up dross again. For that I have no doubt.
  11. I am not painting that picture, you are totally skewing my point Joe. I stand by that the striking options were better, because it is true. I haven't said that I think we have a worse team now, I'm criticising how 3years in, a shoddy defence has been patched up and not invested in.
  12. All Lenihan does is smash it long. Usually aimlessly too...with the exception of that cultured cross-field punt he does - which sales six yards above the winger and into the Riverside.
  13. It means I think he is the only permanent investment in the defence since we were relegated with a poor side (there was Downing too but he soon left and another midfielder played at the back in Rodwell) Other than that we have Bennett (a midfielder when we were relegated but his first choice for most of this season) or Nyambe (already here when we went down) Lenihan (a midfielder in 16-17) Williams (a LB when we were relegated - now a makeshift CB) and Bell (largely , shite) Obviously we have Tosin and Walton but they aren't our players and aren't that great or consistent tbh, so the investment in the most simple and glaring issue at the club has never been addressed by him. It's no wonder to me that we are so weak defensively and embarassing for him that it frustrates and bemused him.
  14. The forward line was certainly stronger Younger Graham, Emnes, Joao, a better version of Gallagher. In midfield slightly younger Conway and Mahoney offer better options than now (possibly) One thing is glaringly obvious, other than converting Lenihan into a CB from midfield, the only investment/permanent change is Bell. Which is unbelievably bad management.
  15. All this talk of the players needed is nonsense. First and foremost, we need a proper manager. No amount of unfit, disorganised players (who clearly lack focus and self-belief) will get us where we need to be.
  16. How about criticizing the literacy skills of young men?
  17. I honestly don't get it. At times, Antonsson looked pretty good as a left-sided semi-striker - other than that it hasn't worked. It is his preferred tactic and it seems an obsession that Mowbray has to do that with ever striker other than Graham. It's a computer game tactic.
  18. Playing the poor lad out wide has done it. It is idiotic. I honestly think when a new man finally comes in, we'll see the quotes of players 'enjoying training' again and growing in confidence. Mowbray castrates the skill, individuality and belief of young players and (ironically) simply favours ball retention.
  19. Yeah, thanks for that Mr Panicky Poo. There is a ton of evidence that even though they always do, this time nobody will apply for a job where you can go on numerous winless runs, where you can waste millions, where expectations from fans are horrendously low, where you can even fail to prevent relegation... and your superiors don't get rid of you. Sounds a nightmare.
  20. You are way over thinking it. I want him sacked because he isn't good at what he is paid to do and for what I have to pay to see. Nothing to do with revenge Mrs Mowbray.
  21. He's not a troll, he's the grammar police and he ain't half gonna write you a ticket for your post! ?
