  1. Thought exactly the same. ...plus, his non-transfer or transfer late in the day will be spun into an excuse why we couldn't finalise business. There's a bunch of lying, face-saving bastards in charge of our club (in my opinion).
  2. I think the previous shit signings and daft contracts have stitched us up. They've given plenty of transfer funds and he's pissed it up the wall on a striker for the wing and a striker for carrying cones. Even in the summer, we'll need to sell to invest. The FFP goes off calculations for years, not seasons. 100% the blame lays at the feet of whoever signed these players and offered the contracts.
  3. Tony can't manage him. He's a rebel with earphones, ripped jeans and tattoos. He only wants passive, son-in-law types.
  4. Come on, you know it - Bennett out of position is a Mowbray shoe in.
  5. Probably because someone gave them ridiculously good contracts for their League One exploits. Disgraceful how short-sighted the contracts dished out to Smallwood, Mulgrew etc. considering within 6months they weren't considered as good enough for the 1st team, add that to wasted fees. One day, eventually, people will notice Mr Mowbray's massive failings en masse. Similar to how many of the same people look back on the squad we had under Bowyer and realise just how much quality was in it and how much it was underachieving. Major lack of quality investment over a number of transfer windows now. Pitiful.
  6. Or open-eyed, level-headed, see through all the bullshit types (as it is properly pronounced).
  7. But only 1.8 points per game and still not even been in the playoffs. It tells me the opposite and what I've always said - that it isn't a tough league. There are some terrible sides with shocking defending (count us part of that most weeks). It'll be a real opportunity missed if we don't take advantage.
  8. I'll be annoyed with that. We've pissed about and persevered with Bennett in countless positions but he hasn't been given a fair go. We should be looking to develop our young talent, not demoralise them.
  9. Personally, I don't think so. Especially with him only becoming a regular recently. But I don't think Brereton or Gallagher were value for money either. Slightly off but I think Nyambe has the greatest chance of a big money move (now Dack is injured) and not so far down the line, I can see a top flight team giving a big fee for him if he keeps marauding down that wing.
  10. I'm a big fan of Rothwell but that is a bit far-fetched at the moment. He has bags of potential and if and when it falls in to place, he will be worth a lot. E
  11. I've proven myself too. I broke the story that Ray Wilkins was looking for a place in Wilpshire - in 88,89,91,92 and 93 *Someone got in there before me in 90.
  12. Yep. We should be making such well-thought moves (both last season and this).
  13. Be careful, it sounds like he's doing a Colleen Rooney on you! ?
  14. Have you given any actual names yet? Apologies if I've missed it but stuff like, "Someone being looked at as we speak" & "Should see a deal going through imminently" kind of stuff doesn't strike me as remotely interesting, accurate or even genuine info. (They aren't direct quotes - but you get my drift).
  15. That's a fair list. ...and to think we're going to have to solve that without being able to spend money ?
  16. Keeping in mind the manager's target of a very strange 70 points...which wouldn't be enough for the playoffs last year (or any in the last 7 seasons) and add today's nuggett of him wanting us to be part of the 'chasing pack'...I think he'll definitely get his wish with his very low aspirations and we'll fail, again. So, in the cold light of day - only one win in seven? Nothing has changed. I can see past the one emphatic win and don't see this 'progress' or more than half filled glass. Meanwhile, teams with lower expenditure are higher in the league. Anyway...transfers? Where's that winger that was signing last week?
  17. No, far from it - but from my point of view, excusing away a 24year old's poor technical ability as if he is a young academy player is daft. But ok..ignore Shearer...so what's your excuse when we compare Gallagher's stats against the more mortal Rhodes (signed when 22) or Gestede (signed at 24/25) Matt Jansen who after banging in goals at the top two levels would be suffering his injury around Gallagher's current age...or even a much younger John Stead who (unlike Gally) could score at the top level at 21?
