  1. I think It's for someone with a bad back or something, so they can keep doing their job.
  2. I think the reaction of the medical staff and the fact he was chugging on oxygen suggests it is a really bad one. He might be a wuss though. I personally hope he is! Just as long as it didn't break your spirit and shatter your optimism Chris ? ?
  3. The diagram Kamy posted, the poor guy had snapped his ACL, MCL and was born without a kneecap. Poor bugger ?
  4. I don't rate our time in League One, I'm ashamed to have been there too - I used that example to poke fun at the irony. I do think it was a cringey/numpty moment though. In truth, they are only one major honour shy of us in the 20th and 21st centuries and like plastic, they weren't even around when we were filling our trophy cabinet in the 1800's
  5. It is going to be a season ender. No doubt in my mind whatsoever. He was clearly in a lot of instant pain because he felt it snap. He'll only just be getting it scanned today, so everything is just speculation so far, but if the dressing room was emotional etc. they know that it is a terrible injury.
  6. Define, "F### all" ? ? Them winning the FA Cup against Man City was a massive achievement. I can't stand Wigan, but credit where it is due. Their memories of winning something are far more recent than our own.
  7. One thing that made me wince was a section of our own supporters chanting, "What's it like to win F### all?!" ...to the team that pipped us to the League One title and who are fairly recent FA Cup winners ??
  8. I agree. So wasteful and needless. On the counter, we have a terrible habit of passing simple balls behind players, rather than in front of them. We kill momentum. Yet when we do the simple thing of getting the ball in front of players and work our way to the opposition's box quickly, we score some lovely goals.
  9. When I saw his knee go in that direction, I thought it was his medial ligament. I did the exactly the same when I was younger. It instantly popped and burnt inside. I'd imagine that a tear in it might be two to three months, but if it is ruptured like the image above, no chance on Earth of 6-8 weeks. More likely 6-8 months
  10. I thought Walton was really good. Some of those backpasses he dealt with were absolutely needless and terrible and his saves and decision making were ? His entire defence was poor. I don't know what was more ridiculous, their distribution or the fact that the somehow ragged a clean sheet. I would personally make them sit through end to end re-runs of their performances on Christmas day. They were abysmal and should be ashamed of that passing out from the back.
  11. There were far worse players than him out there tonight. Agreed, he didn't have a great game but he showed some desire 2nd half and made some good runs (dodging some ridiculously poor challenges along the way).
  12. Gutted for Dack. What a superb signing he has been. Cometh the hour, cometh the man - arise Sir Gladwin.
  13. Totally agree. To this day, it drives me mad when people say we have found our level. It's nonsense. Some belief and a shed load of effort can take you places.
  14. I hope we win. I can't abide that delusional Dingle they have in charge of them.
  15. We will sell him at a deficit. Playing him out wide has been detrimental. Not playing him in a front two has been detrimental and heaped pressure on him. Extremely poor management and the whole thing has been mirrored with Gallagher (who shows a bit more promise these days - when played centrally).
  16. Just had a look at the comments. There are a handful of proper self-righteous knobs on there. It hurts to read a lot of the comments. Shame on you if it's anyone on here ?
  17. Yes, John Carew definitely had a trial period at Rovers.
  18. My thoughts exactly. Surely having him on the bench makes sense. Instead, he travels around with the squad as an expensive waterboy.
  19. My parents go to every home game. They say he has had a good impact in most games. Back to his omission though, facts are, Mowbray can't pick shite players out of position for the best part of a year, then criticise the attitude of players who he hasn't given anything like the fair crack of the whip to. Rothwell was another obvious choice that was overlooked and treated unfairly in terms of the criticism aimed at him in the press and how quickly he was dropped...yet TM consistently picked unfit players like Johnson and is kinder with his criticism of the experienced pros. Despite very recent results, I for one am not buying into the Mowbray love in just yet. I've ranted about his failings for at least 12months and if anything, he has cost us a shit load of points and a heck of a lot of ground on the automatic spots with his ridiculous selections. I hope I am wrong but history suggests tinkering and a long run of draws and defeats are around the corner.
  20. He's performed well in the U23s. Mowbray just saw fit to play ineffective players like Samuel or a 6ft 3 £5m striker out on the wing instead. My attitude would stink too in those circumstances, especially with being left chomping at the bit after lengthy injuries.
  21. That red hot day at Wembley in 92. I've never felt so nervous and overjoyed. Waving flags and middle fingers at the Leicester fans who were on their coaches. Yellows! Yellows! Yellows!
