Exactly. Why is it people see past what a privilege it would be to manage us and there would be no shortage of applicants? Sure the Venkys aren't ideal but we are still Blackburn Rovers with a hell of a lot going for us. If anything, with their continued absence, our stock must be rising because they have given funds, not sold off the best players since the shelfy days, the academy is producing and they have given Mowbray a very fair crack of the whip.

I like to use my eyes, not stats. My eyes tell me that we piss about with the ball, kick simple passes out of play, wait for the opposition to ready themselves before we cross the halfway line, go sidewards when we should go forwards, if we beat the first man we then get terrible crosses into the box, try to walk the ball into the goal, don't get enough shots on target, don't attack balls into the box, invite crosses into our box, the keeper doesn't release the ball early enough, play midfielders in defence, play strikers as wingers, always throw subs on at 60ish minutes, have no urgency or intensity during the dying stages. An iPad with a state of the art App would simply say 60% possession and 1 shot on target.

I feel that we did that with Bowyer and my overlying thoughts are that we should have at least been top six and wasted a very good group of players by lacking belief and ruthlessness. I have similar grievances with Mowbray, we should have been right up there last season but for him swerving the obvious and he then wasted money that should have been spent on building from the back. Don't get me wrong though, you could be correct and Johnno might be brilliant, I just don't believe being our manager is for the inexperienced and someone has to stamp down some proper authority and tactics at some point soon.

Yeah, me too. Chris Hughton is the stand out candidate for me (because we burnt our bridge and pissed on it,in regards to Allardyce). I'd personally love to see Hughes back. Your opinion helps me feel sane. I honestly cannot comprehend anyone who doesn't spot these flaws in his substitutions and 'tactics'. It's almost as though he's taking the piss.

I am now at the point that I have lost any fondness or empathy for him. He is delusional and damaging the hard work he put in. How a professional manager with years of experience under his belt can consistently make such terrible substutions, select so many players out of position when there are proper players available and fail to invest (over 3 seasons) on a proper defence, is unacceptable.

Just read Mowbray's latest interview. Totally deluding himself. Apparently we have been dominating matches, creating chances and supporters can see our new style of play and what we are trying to achieve. I cannot bear to listen to absolute bullshit like that. I prefer honesty and hands up to take the blame, not fantasy work in progress nonsense. We concede more than we score and we don't create enough chances because we are often ineffective. We average 3 shots on target per game and 39% possession. Those are the sad truths.
