We've had 67% of possession away from home...
-
Just owned Ameobi!
-
We've definitely played the best today since Bristol City in terms of all round play. We've actually been quite good in midfield. But then we defend abysmally and lack threat up front. Which is concerning.
-
For the last half dozen games. Before that he was poor. Definitely need to find an alternative.
-
Best player by miles today though.
-
He's gone as far as he can I think. Same basic defensive and offensive issues have not been resolved despite significant investment and a decent amount of time.
-
Rothwell runs across and backwards on the pitch more than any player I have ever seen.
-
Totally dominated first 10 mins of half, Forest have one attack and we concede....
-
Looks like they have come out complacent. Let's get Graham on ASAP.
-
Agreed. He hadn't had a good game, just not excerably horrible like every time I have seen him. Id get Graham on for Brereton - I think he could score today looking at the shape of the game. Gallagher will just run around a lot a la Brereton.
-
I think Forest have lost their discipline and it's helping us out. Standard 2 goal up complacency. Hopefully they come out with a similar attitude. After around 30mins Tosin, Lenihan, Travis, Downing started getting a lot of space which they didn't have earlier.
-
Brereton has easily had his best game for us but we still need Graham on. Downing has been exceptional. Forest are dropping off.. could get something from this.
-
We've probably been the better team on the ball. But what's the point if you can't score and give goals away. Edit - annnd we score a beaut!
-
Brereton... Dropping out of the box as we crossed it in.
-
Spoke too soon... They are getting tight now.
-
Few things more frustrating than your only striker refusing to go in the box.
-
On the plus side Forest seen like they aren't that interested in pressing us. We might be able to pass it a bit.
-
451 I think today?
-
To be fair we were absolutely terrible over the last few games so I can sympathise with changes. Sheer volume of changes is huge though. Points to the fact we just don't know what our best team.
-
If Forest have done their research they'll just pick a physical side and out muscle us. But if they stand off us we have half a chance.
-
To be honest we paid so little for Rothwell he's been okay I think. Chapman is yet to play, and also cheap. Brereton and Gallagher are the ridiculous ones.
-
We could go 442 -------------------------Walton Nyambe----Lenihan----Tosin----Bell ----JRC-------Travis----Holtby---Downing --------------Gallagher---Graham Another raft of changes, but what's new?

I agree we have only one effective way to play - patiently pass it through the middle. If teams press us and out muscle us that goes out the window. Therefore as you say a plan B is required. Theoretically we should have a long ball option to Gallagher but we dont as he cannot for the life of him hold up the ball. And we cant get it wide as we have no wide players. I think we're just going to have to give Chapman or JRC a whirl and see how it goes. And try and get some cash together to sign a striker who has a decent scoring record and can trap a ball. No idea where we get that cash from. Nor do I trust Mowbray to find that striker. But I can't see what our other options are. -

Yup. The only thing that matters is signing a striker who is decent and scores goals. I think Raos may give Mowbray short shrift after paying out 12M for Gallagher and Brereton. They may well say "play Brereton". -

What's so sad is it's hard to see what we can do to improve. Barring major investment I think we've played all our cards. Somewhat stupidly Huddersfield seem to have started standing off us.
