Dunno, with reference to Brereton. He did have the job then though, so you'd guess was part of the process.

I was on that coach too. I also remember him on the train back from Stoke once and on another coach to Spurs one New Years Eve. You'd certainly want him on your side that's for sure! I heard that he lived on Nuttall Street but don't know if that's correct. Is he still living? Ive never come across him since and that's about 40 years. (jeepers, that's scary)

Stuart Harvey is in charge of recruitment at Ewood, so I guess in charge of the setting up of the European scouting network. I'll tell you right here and now, if anyone is pinning their hopes on that bearing fruit, if it's even happened at all, prepare to be disappointed.

He's been playing 442 for the past few games, it just so happens that the '2' are played as wingers/wide forwards.

On balance over 90 minutes a draw was a fair result. Last 20 minutes and the 2 missed chances, we should have had all 3 points. In any event, it doesn't really matter much courtesy of earlier points thrown away.

If memory serves correct, we've only spent £300k (Amari Bell) on defence in the whole of Venky's tenure. Without checking, perhaps you could add Shane Duffy to that list. A total spend at that level on goalkeepers and defenders in 10 years is not just a coincidence. I stand corrected if I'm inaccurate.
