ROVERS: Friedel, Neill, Khizanishvili, Nelsen ©, Gray, Reid, Tugay, Savage, Pedersen, Sinama-Pongolle, Bellamy. Subs: Enckelman, Kuqi, Mokoena, Bentley, Peter. Good team today... -
With West Ham losing yesterday that puts them out of the race for 6th spot. Its now only between ourself, Newcastle and Bolton. I can see Bolton getting 6 more points, so we need at least 5p from our last three games..
-
Amazingly Wigan aint getting something from this game! They should have won. I reckon they won't catch us now, 3points behind and one more game played..
-
watching the game, its been all Wigan the last 20minutes. Only 5min left though..

[Archived] Our Loaned Players In Action

I reckon he will be in the squad facing Charlton saturday. "Mark Hughes is keen to take a look at Gallagher's form before reshaping his squad for next season. BBC" With Dickov leaving, and Pongo not looking to sign a permant deal, it may open the door for Gally to play some part for us next season. I'm hoping we sign another quality striker and have Gally and Kuqi as back up players. -
[Archived] Henning Berg

Berg might be a good shout for the future, but he needs more experience first. He has been quoted saying something along the lines "I've had Souness as a manager, so I atleast know how not to do things"... -

There aint just MGP who has been a diesapointment of late. So has Bellamy, Dickov, Emerton, Bentley and Gray. Perhaps we should just sell them as well? Next season Peter will give Morten a hard fight for that left wing spot, this might sharpen him a bit.. -
Finishing 8-10th aint a great achievement in my opinion.
-
Won't be suprised if we find ourself down at 8.place at the end of the sesason. Will result in no europe and no bellamy next season.

Good read! Charlton 1 Rovers 3 Starting XI really SHOULD be: Friedel Neill - Zurab - Nelsen - Gray Reid - Tugay - Savage - Peter Pongolle - Bellamy -
I think he did fairly well out there today, but trowing away the armband like he did just symbols a lack of respect. I've said it before and I say it again, that is not the kind of player I want to be captain at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

I've seen all those games, one of them from the stands, and apart from the Liverpool game you are talking some quality rubbish here! Against Pompey it was Bellamy against them, a 5-2 loss would have been what we deserved. Today we did not have all the possession, their keeper did not make any (apart from the peter shot, which savage scored on the rebound) saves, never mind amazing onces.. So I have no idea what you are trying to pull here, because, face it, we have been playing crap lately.. -
Not about him being dirty, but what the hell was he doing trowing away the captain armband today?

We do not have any creativity in our team. I really hope Tugay is ready soon. Stick him and Savage in the centre and Reid (excellent crosser) on the right and Peter wide left. Peter is much younger than gamst, he is smaller, but he aint afraid of getting stuck in, gamst needs to be more tough...its bloody anoying! -

Saw the game on telly. Birmingham clearly the better team in the first half, should have been 2-0 up, we didnt create anything. Second half we were on top, had 4 great chances to score, and Birmingham scored on their two. Overall, the game could have gone either way, but IMO Birmingham perhaps were the better team, so a deserved win. Kuqi did very well when he came on, Bellamy was poor and so was Pedersen. Hope Peter will start our remaning games, he is much more effective than Gamst at the moment. -

Very strange that Pongoll aint playing. There must be something we do not know, because Dickov has been pants since returning from injury, and he's on the bench. I'll bet its because Pongoll someway or the other has said that he does not want to join us in the summer.. -
[Archived] Rovers 0-1 Liverpool

Being at Ewood for the first time sitting in the Jack Walker Upper, I had a very good veiw of the game, and this it what I make of it: 1. We got many quality crosses into the box, but when no-one attacks the ball and we dont have players arriving in the box from midfield then they are of no use. 2. Best attack on the day was the hughe chance which Savage sent wide with a weak shot. 3. No need to say anything about the Liverpool goal 4. The drummer really is annoying, sounds like they kill any chance of a chant lasting longer than 10-20 seconds 5. We need to stop playing one-touch sloppy passes between the back four. On another day it could have cost us dearly. I dont think any of our players had a very bad game, even though Dickov was cleary not at his best. Best player for me was Nelsen, followed by Reid and Savage. I also thought Bentley looked decent in the second half... Btw, at the Blackburn train station after the game some Liverpool supports idiots came singing "blue and white trash..." Then a rather ###### off Blackburn supporter "lost it" while repating load and aggressively "shut your mouth you fat @#/?, no-one likes you, fat basted. Shut your f**** mouth fat @#/?.. Just wondering, was it any of you? -
Spurs three next games are Everton away ManU at home Arsenal away Spurs wont be 4th after those three games. Arsenal is my bet..
-
I expect them to get a match against Pompey on wednesday.. Might not win that one either.
-
I would say both..
-
I said that IF we keep playing like we did today, then we will not even get a Uefa cup place.
-
Spot on, I was just about to say the same. Its all getting a bit silly now, and he should stop making a fool out of himself by saying so..
-
We should stop talking about 4th place, both in the media and on here. We are just making an ass out of our self. The performances we have showed lately does not belong in the premier league, never mind the Champions League. Against Wigan we were lucky to get a point, and its the same story today. The players seem tired and our only way to attack is by hitting a long ball towards Bellamy while hoping he will pull some magic. Our defense in the last two games have been nothing sort of bloody awful, and if it continue then we can say goodbye to the UEFA cup aswell..
-
If I see an unchanged team against Liverpool then I will be an angry man in the stands!! Reid and Savage in the centre does NOT work at all. Also, stick either MGP or Bentley on the bench, they have been useless the last two games.
-
I think if the starting XI looks something like this, then we will have a great chance of winning the game: Friedel Neill - Nelsen - Todd - Gray Reid - Tugay - Savage - MGP Bellamy - Pongoll If we start with Kuqi up front, and Bently on the right then we are asking for trouble!
