A decent first half, but we didnt create anything after the break. In all fairness ManU could have won this by 3-1 or 4-1 so we can't really complain about the result. Poor play by Gray and Tugay lead to the ManU goals, but our goal was also something that came out of very dodgy defending by them. Our two strikers were just rubbish today, and the sooner Kuqi is out of our starting XI the better.

Kuqi, Bentley, Dickov and Bellamy thats four players who "can play" up front, we dont need more in terms of numbers, we need quality. Just bad luck that Dickov got injured.

Just read the paper issue of Norwegian newspaper VG, where they have run a big article on Morten Gamst Pedersen. What they have written is mainly: 1. MGP is our number one star player 2. MGP wants to be payed as much as Bellamy The Gamst hype here in Norway is seriously getting ridiculous.. Lets hope he scores the winner at OT then they might send a 10men tv-crue over there for some extensive interviews..

The transfer budget some people on here think Hughes should get is nothing short of ridiculous. If we can sign a couple of quality players a season while getting rid of some deadwood, then surely we would move in the right direction. What we need is a steady progress, and I'm sure if we can keep Hughes while giving him around £5m to spent each year, then we might challange for a 5th - 6th spot every season. Looking back at our two last PL campains, I would say being where we are today is a HUGE step in the right direction!

What? Now you are really talking rubbish, if Hughes got a £10m budget then there is no question that he would greatly improve our starting 11. You just have to look outside England, because looking at the Aston transfer fee, its just plain stupid!

Fantastic result for us. I didn't see the first half, but the second was not that good, but as long as we gets the points I'm more than pleased. Did anyone else see that situation when MGP was one-on-one with Given but was called offside? He was at least a couple of meters onside. If Dickov are out for a long time then we should get Gallagher back. Kuqi just aint good enough, and should not be in our starting XI. He has been awful in our two last games. His first touch and balance is just way to poor at this level, although he is a decent squad-player.

Anyone else getting a bit tired watching Bellamy constantly having a go at our other players? Every time the final ball is an inch off he starts swearing at them while rasing his arms..

Just seen the replay of Saha's goal a few times, Todd clearly to blame. Why is he 5m behind the defensive line? All he had to do was to take a few steps forward and Saha would have been offside.

Great first half, very poor second half. I counted 5 clear goal scoring chances goals included, 3 of those was for Rovers. Our passing in defensive areas was really poor today, and on another day it could have cost us dearly. Kuqi was also rotten today, never seen him as poor as this. Also, Bellamy should stop moaning so much, on the other hand he played up front with Kuqi today. Overall I'm happy, and we still have a chance getting to the final!

We should win this one, and I reckon Hughes will rest a few players as well.

Seen the highlights, Bellamy looked class and set up what should have been two more goals, from Savage and Emerton. If we can get Bellamy to play a part in most of the remaining games, then who knows, we might push on for a 6th spot in the league. Its a good feeling having such a talented player in our squad, been a while since Duff left.
