I would think there would be some sort of device to stop the river backing up the drains to the pitch which would stop or slow down the water exiting into the river.

It would go into melt down on here if they wanted to move the ground to a better drained site so they can play a few games in 20 years that were postponed

we have always had drainage problems due to the location of the ground pretty sure apart from spending millions on a drainage system there is nothing that can be done , and i cant see it being worth it for the odd game every couple of years .

I would think the pitch drains into the river if that is up high i would think it will affect the drainage of the pitch, other local ground would not have this problem some local games off in preston.

A thoroughly entertaining game rode our luck early on and gradually got a foothold in the game and came on strong in second half and deserved the win. Great advert for this competition on a very nice pitch.
