The problem is all the cm options bar Travis are only viable when played with tronstad. -

Me. He was 17 and although he was crap you could see he had all the tools of making a top centre back. -

Half agreed with this in that it was the wrong team selection. Weimann up top didn't work and was a gamble but I really don't see gueye as being an effective starter as he doesn't have the legs. I would've started Leonard and I probably still would vs Oxford on Saturday. ACD should start most weeks out wide as he's the most likely to create something, however he's come back from illness so there may have been a doubt on wether he had 70 mins in him. He'll start on Saturday. -

Up there for player of the year for me. Our bad run in sep/oct came when he was out injured coincidentally. -

I think he has to start most of these games in january. That is until ohashi returns from injury or a striker is signed. I really do think there is a player in Leonard (I think he's got a lot more potential than Vale for example). If you look at some of performances last season under jdt before his injury they were actually pretty good. Take how he led the line away at Ipswich for example. It appears the only other alternatives are Gueye or repurposing weimann or dolan. I think gueye should be brought on after an hour. He hasn't got the legs to play more than half an hour in my mind. Dolan would press really well and is still first choice in the 3 behind the striker. Has weimann actually played up top? Could be worth a shout as he can finish and has it between the ears. I'd be going Leonard for an hour. -

To quote Mr souness we need to "wee with the willy we've got". Eustace won't be given the money to add that quality so he might have to find another route. -

A lot yes

I'm listening to the full thing now. It's genuinely hilarious, the lack of awareness from both but particularly Jerome is breathtaking. 'Sometimes people just want to stick their fingers up at you for no reason' Oh there was a reason Jerome, your either being deliberately obtuse to that reason, disingenuous, completely thick or all 3.

These are my thoughts also. I'm just praying we are holding back what little resources we have to get that winger / striker we need on loan. -

Like Baker then. I'd have him back on loan as a bench option behind Travis and tronstad. -

His record is poor but i remember him scoring a good goal for Swansea at Ewood when he was on loan and thought he looked a player. Would have to be the right sort of terms though. Maybe a gamble on wages with a small transfer fee with some add ons if he does well. -
Rotate the boards for this one. Toth Jrc. Hyam. Fadz. Beck (45 mins) Baker. Buckley Weimann. Hedges Cantwell Leonard. Subs: Pears, Batth, brittain (45 mins) garrett, tronstad, dolan, ACD, Gueye, an academy player.. If duru was fit I'd start him. Cantwell doesn't deserve a match off. He needs a rocket up his arse and to prove himself. I think that side would be competitive, it rests those who need a break (bar Hyam) and gives all the fringe players a chance.

Would be one hell of a coup. The lad isn't going to get a prem loan after his stint in seria A. -

How often do you run 100m in football, it's the drop in acceleration over 5-10m that is the killer. I'm still playing, my top pace isn't that much slower but my turn of pace is noticeably slower. I'd be very interested in schlupp (should it be possible). If it was a loan until the end of the season. I wouldn't be guaranteeing a contract at the end of it. We'd need to have a look at him first. From what I've seen of him he very much relies on his physical abilities. Quick, strong, great engine, not particularly technical at the top level but handy enough. Very versatile, would start wide left or deputise in cm in Travis absence. He might be keen to move back this way as I believe his wife is from preston. -

Didn't we recover that money on Wahlsted when we sold him? -

I get the call for experience but I think there's room for someone like ACD, who to me could be a difference maker for us. He's also fresh having only played a cameo role at Leeds. He's also a ball carrier which we will need if we are camped in like we often are. I know dolan presses very well up front but I'd be hesitant to start him there, weimann up front might be an option, a certainly don't think gueye has 90 mins in him. For this one I'd be having dolan in there somewhere provided fitness (which given the fixture list is no guarentee). We need that energy and running in this one. -

If you ignore the previous minute of play it's unacceptable. If you factor in the context I can forgive it. Considering he ran himself into the ground to be there in the first place. -

I take massive exception to this. Have you seen how much he'd run in the previous 30 second period. Guy was knackered. He's human and he's putting in a hell of a shift. Couldn't exactly foul him there. -

Leonard has worked hard for that chance. Would've needed to be one hell of a header but he should've done better with it.
