Has a decent record. He can organise a team, he's improved our shoddy lot but came to late. He talks sense, he is passionate and the main thing is you can't fairly judge anyone after the timeframe. Thats without taking the scenario into account, which was god awful and is looking like a step too far. It would be absolutely ridiculous to point fingers or campaign against TM at this point. It's like castigating a paramedic and blaming him for a car accident, when he turned up after to give medical attention.

Actions always speak louder than words, but when poor actions are backed up with excuses and lies - a manager deserves stick. It's obvious from Tony's demeanour, words and actions that he's putting as much as possible into it. Thats all Blackburn Rovers fans ever wanted, someone with the right credentials and mindset!

He also has a very good record previous, especially with WBA. Couldn't label him a poor manager, personally.

I didn't like the name when I heard it initially, but everything he's said has resonated, I can't think of a single interview I haven't agreed with him. I can criticise some tactical choices from the outside looking in, but the positives compared to the previous manager are stark. Wish we'd had him all season, I concur we'd be safe.

It's not the scenario that we would all want is it? The point I am making is that any new player or member of staff deserves a chance. Do I rate Senior? Do I rate Cheston? Etc? Regardless of those answers, I don't have much of say but my opinion should be developed with experience, not just a gut "he's obviously a pawn".. Senior needed to get rid of Coyle and he has done, whilst it probably should've been earlier - I appreciate that influence. I didn't appreciate his lies about value, but I can understand why he said it. If Mowbray becomes a successful head coach by keeping us up and improving us next year, it will be a success. We are all annoyed about the previous 6 years, but that's not a reason (imo) to defecate on any changes, especially when this one has been swift and necessary! Could I have been less underwhelmed? Yes, but I could've also been a lot angrier if this had gone on for weeks to be another "give it to the reserves" manager decision. The scenario is perilous.

Well said. I am personally astonished that they've acted so quickly in bringing actual experience in. I can certainly get behind the new man but that doesn't mean that I support the owners anymore than before.

Why give him a chance? How's about in case he can turn this around!! We needed a change, what did you expect? The real problem is always the ownership but this is hiring an actual manager without messing around for months when we needed a quick decision.

Cheers guys, I like the sound of that. We've seen lots of centre backs, full backs, keepers and defensive midfielders and not much attacking intent from the academy in the past few years. The academy is an advantage we will have as long as it's still kept running, so it's probably going to be what defines our near future! Something quite alluring about a team with a solid base of home grown talents.

Yes they have indeed! Not had much done in terms of look but from speaking to the current team involved, lots have been done behind the scenes and much still to do. The beer was good to be fair, and they've had an upgrade in sound upstairs for bands. May be there on Friday yet.

If we are relegated this season OOJW, the blame lies solely at the door of the owners. That doesn't mean he has a get out of jail card for ridiculous decisions, poor signings and poor results. I think many sense that we will be relegated this season, so if the barometer for success is survival, OC should be congratulated for such if it's achieved. I think I'll wait till September 1st before making a more definite prediction!
