Frustrating...... because no real signings are coming through. But we do need completion. Players must be pushed to produce their best and fight for the shirt.

Maybe it was just closed as a precaution with players arriving. No double they have been told to stay clear of supporters. There was plenty of security around the BBE car park.

You could always wear under a jacket but if we've scored who gives a damn about waistline. Went down to the club shop yesterday morning but was closed, maybe because of players arriving. Was always good to see the August season start each year with plenty of new shirts on display in the crowd especially when we played away. Unfortunately not going to happen this season. Ordered a new grey and black mask on internet (not Rovers shop) which arrived yesterday. Turns out its claret and blue so cannot use it on principle.

Came on in second half today v Chelsea (2,500 fans allowed in) but was stretchered off after 30 mins.

Got to look at the wages budgets too so to have seven forwards might be stretching it when we need defenders. Agree with giving Butterworth and Vale the chance to come through.

We urgently need a top class proven keeper. I get frustrated with TM saying he is waiting for Venky's to give him a budget. If it was me I'd be on the phone constantly stressing this is holding the transfer system up and causing a massive problem as we move more quickly into the new season.

Poor performance by all including TM. Don't see a desire to win in this end game. Hope its TM last game in charge.

I'd have him. Would expect Rovers management to do a full review on the personal side but as a keeper he would fit in well.

Walton has had a few poor games and he can add this one to his list. Had enough time to sort his feet out and get over for their freekick and he's not the commanding keeper needed to aid poor defenders. Good to see BB & SG score. Vale didn't do much will be encouraged by hitting the bar - what a finish that would have been! If we have any money we need investment at the back with qualified experienced coaches.

Yeah 22 year old looked decent. He's with Benfica until another 2 years and has been on loan with Huddersfield since January 2020.

I would imagine that with nothing to play for (although a win is a must for me ) Bennett will not even make the bench today (he will though!), Davenport should start, Buckley will get 20 minutes and Chapman might get 10 minutes. Rovers 2 (Armstrong, Brereton) Reading 2
