I’m hoping to get a raspberry pi for Xmas and I’m planning to use it to play retro arcade/console games. Has anybody here tried that? I can’t wait to play some of the classic arcade games of my youth but I’m thinking it can’t be as simple as installing retropie and mame, is there a lot of config involved to get it up and running? Finally, any recommendations on good controllers or joysticks?

Lenihan is a good shout. He’s turned into a good no-nonsense centre back and he’s (sort of) one of our own.

Gallagher has been excellent apart from not scoring. He never stops running and has decent feet.

Might be a good idea to bring Armstrong on now. They’re gonna throw everything at us and a quick counterattack with his pace against tired legs could pay off. We’re lucky that their finishing boots aren’t on, just had a great chance blazed wide.

Yes, we are playing very well. We press and look composed on the ball whe Bristol city lookout of ideas and tired. Maybe TM was right to rotate the squad a bit ?. I’d love for brereton to score now ?

Brereton has been good and has just missed a final ball. He’s certainly throwing himself about and working hard. I’d like to see him stay on the pitch in the second half to see if he settles into the game a bit more, he has been out for a long time with injury after a fairly disastrous first season. Holtby showed a bit of class near the end but overplayed his pass a little. Bennett has played well and even Bell has been dependable. Nyambe is my choice for best player so far.

I think he’s bereft of confidence. He’s getting stuck in and trying at least. Had a lovely run into the box early on and then seemed to panic so it came to nothing. A loan move could be good for him.

It’s been entertaining so far, a proper championship match. Worryingly I think Bristol city have had the better of it despite being 1-0 down.

If we lose it’s always “ALL on Mowbray” according to you but if we win it’s somehow lucky or somehow miraculously down to your opinion being psychically transmitted into TM’s brain. Change the record please. The notion that the team which won4 in a row was the “fan’s choice” and that TM is purposefully going against that to send a message is laughable.

I agree that Bell doesn’t fill me with confidence but Downing can’t play all the time. You need to work on your calming exercises.

Unfortunately for us, football prestige does not matter once the game kicks off. I’d be happy to stay unbeaten, Bristol City have been tough opponents for us in the past and our squad seem to be feeling the strain, plus Bradley Dack is out.

Jordan Rhodes for me. He scored a ton of goals for us in a very dark time, had an exemplary character and left under good terms. He might not have been the most gifted player technically but he definitely put a smile on my face in the time he was here, and that’s why he’s my favourite player over the last 10 years. Could we make this into a poll? Maybe include one for worst player of the last decade? Leon Best in case anyone’s wondering.

I thought it was brilliant. Pacino was excellent, but I agree joe Pesci was fantastic as well. Not used to seeing him play such a quiet role yet still a very dangerous man. I guess Stephen graham had the Pesci role this time and what an actor he is. The effects used to portray them all as younger men are excellent as well. Good to see de Niro and Pacino back in proper films as they’ve both sullied their careers somewhat with a load of rubbish films in recent years. Didn’t know much about Jimmy Hoffa and the teamsters so the film was an education for me ?

I agree. Like it or not we have to try and get something from him after we blew a fortune. He needs to start for us as a striker, anything else isn’t being fair to him or making the best use of our resources. If he’s not up to this then he needs to be loaned out ASAP, in an effort to build his confidence and either return to us or get himself a move elsewhere.

Sadly I think you’re right CB. I sometimes think about how amazing it would be to have owners that are genuinely interested, just like normal clubs ?

Aye well you’re entitled to your views but the question was if they apologised and turned up at the matches. I think that would indicate that their motives for owning a football club might have changed. Never forget but be ready to forgive is my way of looking at it.

Life is too short to waste time wallowing in bitterness and negativity. The Venkys have made terrible mistakes and have undoubtedly crippled our football club but they have invested a huge amount now and it’s all in the past. Concentrate on the present moment. If we had owners that admitted to mistakes in the past, humbly asked for forgiveness and started showing an interest in our club then surely that’s what we all want?

Not many teams play 4-4-2 to be fair but I wonder would Armstrong be better in a two. He’s not the best finisher and I think Rhodes had a real poacher’s instinct for knowing where to be in the box which sets him way above Armstrong as a striker. I don’t think Rhodes would cost much on a loan though he may well be on big wages.

Would anyone take Jordan Rhodes back? I think he has had a barren time of it since leaving us but he’s only 29, he loves the club and is a proven finisher. Although we’d have to change our system to get the best from him, maybe a 4-4-2 with Gallagher beside him or Dack dropping back a bit into the space in midfield?
