  1. Ridiculous post. People are responsible for their own actions and you can’t blame TM for letting this news out. I’m sure if nothing was said we’d have the same boring old crap from the same people about “silence from the club” or a “breakdown in communications”. Some people are so desperate to blame the manager for everything. It’s sometimes funny but it’s getting exasperating now.
  2. Yeah I thought he was walking funny after the match too.
  3. My thoughts exactly. He’s earned another crack at it, he built the squad, created the system, and he has definitely overachieved with these players. I wanted him out last season but it would be unreasonable and foolish to discount the excellent progress this time out.
  4. We’re on a tight budget. Hardly likely to sign another backup GK when we’ve already got two. Pears was bad in his last match but I think everyone is just hoping that we’ll not have to use him again. The odds are pretty good for that given that we’re approaching the end of the season. I’d far rather we spent any remaining money on a backup striker or a backup for Travis, which would be a much more sensible use of any resources we have, rather than spending on a fourth GK.
  5. If Khadra could find him with one of those crosses we might be 1 up, he hasn’t done a lot wrong tonight to be fair to him.
  6. Khadra is very quick and skillful but his final ball has been poor today. I think SG has been decent so far and I am not a fan of his normally.
  7. Didn’t see the match today but Lenihan has impressed me in every game I’ve caught this season. After his performances last season I thought he’d reached the limits of his development and would have been happy to see him go, but he’s kicked on and taken his game to another level now. He’s awesome in the air, positionally aware, and has become very accurate with those long balls from deep. What’s changed? Is he more suited to a 3? Is it because Ayala has had more appearances this season?
  8. Article I found on Markanday. Exciting stuff, Spurs fans do seem very upset that he’s going. https://www.spurs-web.com/spurs-news/opinion-dilan-markanday-his-play-style-his-achievements-his-future/
  9. https://bulinews.com/news/11141/report-blackburn-closing-on-hertha-defender Ajax graduate, transferred in to Hertha for €4m, fair few appearances in the Bundesliga. An exciting signing on the face of it. However, the real question is…. Is he any good in fm2022?
  10. Just because you think that, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. 😂
  11. I suppose you are right, I was in full on fm2022 mode there! I completely agree on Sturbridge but I got carried away with the romance of signing a Chilean legend off the back of BBD’s new fame. The model is working beautifully and almost every time we sign an older, “legendary” player, it has been a disaster. It’s nice to dream but for me the most important transfer business would be tying up some contracts for our star performers.
  12. Ben Arfa could be the new Berkovic. Arturo Vidal would be immense.
  13. Hopefully so. I know that Brad Lyons was a top player in the NI league and he hasn’t made any impact at the professional levels. Admittedly the Irish league is nominally professional so a slightly higher standard. I suppose Jamie Vardy is a good example of a late developer that made the grade.
  14. Thanks for your input 👍
  15. Article in the guardian today mentioning £30m. I’d still like to keep him, even at that. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/dec/30/ten-january-transfer-window-targets-from-mbappe-to-raphinha-and-vlahovic Quite surreal to see BBD mentioned in the same article as vlahovic end Mbappe. Love it.
  16. I’ve never seen him play but I know that the Irish league is of a low standard. I’d suggest that if you’re still in the Irish league at the age of 23 then it’s too late for you to improve enough to play at the level we hope to operate at.
  17. Nice to see you posting on the forum Mrs Rothwell, welcome aboard.
  18. I enjoyed season 2, also tried watching the Bhagavan story which is a Tiger King spinoff. Have to say it left me cold, he’s an evil character but nowhere near as magnetic or interesting as Joe Exotic, who is hardly in the spin-off.
  19. I was getting tired with the repetitive structure and narrative in S3 but the last two episodes were fantastic, the finale especially ranks as the best episode I’ve seen of the show. For me it’s up there with The Wire, Breaking Bad, GoT, and Sopranos. Top, too stuff.
  20. If we’ve activated the extension there is no way that we should be selling BBD in January. Thanks to selling Arma, and some financial jiggery pokery with the training ground sale, we should be ok in regards to FFP. We appear to have a very strong first XI now, with capable players in reserve to help cope with injury. We’re playing the best football I’ve seen since Venkys rolled up, with a genuine chance of promotion to the PL. Taking all this into consideration, TM should be telling Diaz and the money men that if we get another 6 months out of Diaz then we either get promoted and his value rockets, or we don’t and we sell him to one of the clubs interested now. We don’t need the money now to improve the squad or satisfy FFP demands, but we do need a player of BBD’s quality to achieve our aims in the league. In an ideal world there is no way we should sell our best player and top scorer halfway through a season that promises so much.
  21. Happy days. We’ll be rolling in money soon enough if we can get £20m for someone that’s not even our best player. Lenihan better than BBD? Come on.
  22. Get caught up! Third season isn’t long in.
  23. Succession is brilliant Chaddy, hope you enjoy.
