  1. Even if we have a healthy budget we're always going to be second, third or more in line in the queue to sign attractive players given our restrictive wage budget. Meaning we need a proven goalscorer but we're not going to get one.
  2. So we know who we definitely won't sign?
  3. Or it's the same story with we can spend funds on fees but not on wages. £10m and £1k/w offers to try and con us fans.
  4. We had some money to spend last summer too, until we hadn't any longer.
  5. Don't forget that it was Gregg who brought JDT in. We were about to hire Big Dunc or someone of his calibre.
  6. Hope he started scouting prior to re-joining us.
  7. I think there's something there and wouldn't mind getting him back, but prefer loans with a view or permanent transfers where we can develop our own players instead.
  8. Not too dissimilar to Josh Bowler, perhaps that's what Blackpool see in him as well? Has a lot of skill and goals in him, but maybe not the best defensively and not really an out and out striker, so a bit of a luxury player to have in your team.
  9. If you reject a betting company and accept a local vape business instead based on moral grounds, then it's time for a reality check. Bullshit owners.
  10. Nature of the beast. The big guns have the finances to take risks on younger players and we can't compete financially. A shame that, should he become a PL regular, we receive peanuts - all while losing £20m per year. The events that has seen Phillips, Wharton and now Finneran leave for ridiculous fees really leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth. On a totally different note, the Euros has so many teams in it now that I'm starting to lose interest in that too. Can't feel the buzz. Is it only because I'm Norwegian and we're not qualified? Game has gone to shits. Jay-Z more important that football legends in the stand.
  11. It's not all about output though. I think Gallagher is hit and miss, but a lot of the time with Leonard in the team we were on the back-foot as his hold-up play is still very much in development. He had a great understanding with A. Wharton, so I will be curious to see if he manages to get to as many clear-cut chances without his longtime teammate.
  12. I'm not counting him out yet, but needs to take grab any chance he gets this coming season. Wouldn't mind loaning him out to a promotion candidate in League One.
  13. And then he has to make the step up to the Championship, where he'll become another Gallagher at best. Avoid. He's on pens as well so 15 goals in 38 games isn't that prolific.
  14. They won't sign him. Ipswich only signed Travis when Morsy got injured and put Travis on the bench as soon as Morsy was back fit.
  15. Think he's the perfect type for Eustace, but who's he gonna replace in our team?
  16. That won't be enough. And we offer crap wages so it'll be another tricky and loooong summer for us is my prediction.
  17. I disagree, at 24 he's the perfect age for the next step. But this season was meant to be one where he would further develop but he hasn't, and if anything his value has decreased as he's been out for so long. I think if he can stay injury free he's gone in January so O'Riordan is hopefully ready by then.
  18. I would try and get something for Bucko and let Garrett out on loan to a top League One side, and get someone in to compete with JRC who's a bit too injury prone unfortunately. Striker, GK and a pacey winger probably must-get as well.
  19. Duffy and Barnes 😄
  20. Wagner said ‘Who cares?’ after their loss at Brum.
  21. We hardly created any chances in many of the matches under Eustace, but yes I do agree with you about having better forwards.
  22. Imagine three centre backs with Travis and Tronstad in the middle....how on earth are we gonna score?
  23. If we take up the options on Dolan and Gallagher but can't agree fresh terms, then we need to offload them both this summer. Dolan perhaps we can let expire due to his age, as we will get a fee anyway in 12 months time, but Gallagher is sign or go. Squad needs a serious shake-up. Wonder how long it will take before Szmodics is gone...delay it until late August and then not spend would be classic Rovers.
  24. ""Hopefully, then we can sit down and rebuild the team. We don't need massive changes. There are two or three areas I want to improve." GK, midfield and attack
