  1. I agree, but sooner or later everyone enters a point of no return and I think Ismael is getting close...
  2. I know it's probably unwise to say so in public, as he did with Tavares as well, but once you're given a chance as a substitute then at least put some effort in and play the was you've been instructed. Gueye hasn't played with any intensity at all and Tavares who is more worried about looking dandy-ish than making it as a footballer. Sure it's difficult to come into a team that's disjointed and not looking like it's going to come back into the games, but at least show the fans and the manager that you're trying.
  3. I actually don't think that's our biggest issue, but it's certainly starting to become a factor now as well. I can see that McLoughlin is barking at his teammates, and Tronstad has looked quite unhappy in a few of our earlier matches as well. Kargo got a telling off after he went 10 yards offside on Hedges' flick-on, so this is a real test for the team spirit and Ismael looks more and more deflated for each day. We should've scored more in the first but also almost conceded two from set-pieces right before Ohashi scored, a goal that was more a fluke with de Neve trying to score and not crossing. Then in the second half we looked winded, Henriksson I thought ran out of steam after the first half and should've been replaced a lot earlier after going back to back matches in the Championship. Gardner-Hickman also went AWOL for the second half and everyone panicked as soon as the ball entered their feet - and that's when we have to rely on a bench that isn't up to standards... something that's glaringly obvious that it isn't, and the reason why Ismael is so reluctant to make the substitutions. This squad needs serious investment in January and just wonder if we will try and loan players despite Ismael being against it as a stop-gap solution, or if we'll actually spend some dough.
  4. Both de Neve and Henriksson look like hard workers but just not enough for this league. de Neve had a good game and has had some good cameos off the bench lately, but we need a bit of composure in the final third and he's not the answer either - neither is Hedges although he's had a good season so far (which is quite telling tbh). Going to bed, knew we would lose again, but had to watch.
  5. What's a much more pressing matter is the first team is a total shambles at the moment. Have we signed a CEO yet? How many fewer people are in the backroom staff now compared to under Eustace, JDT and/or Mowbray?
  6. Can't get my head around Hedges and Kargbo upfront.
  7. Not now. We've had some good prospects come out of it and sold for decent amounts past few seasons.
  8. Horrible at set pieces. Good first half, but completely switched off for the second. Baffling substitutions... lose against Southampton and it's time to go, Ismael. Not sure what anyone can get out of this squad though, to be honest. Not many goals in them. 150 years...
  9. The game was a good watch but you get what you pay for in this business. Two quality finishes from them, but also a really dangerous area to clear the ball into (edge of the D). I feel sorry for the manager and for the players, because the effort and performances have been there (for the most part) this season, but we end up with nothing and naturally we didn't have any response after conceding two goals in quick succession yesterday. The subs made no impact, Gueye and Kargbo must be the least intelligent footballers in the squad, and had no impact on the game other than making sure it didn't look like we tried to come back after conceding twice. I think most of us aren't surprised we're in for a struggle this season. The squad was torn apart in the transfer window and the people running the club has taken a huge gamble - we'll see where we end up.
  10. Spot on. They've denied it all, but based on the treatment of the LET and Elliott Jackson, it's quite evident how they treat people that aren't 'aligned'.
  11. Did anyone else notice TGH and Tronstad running into the same areas defensively? Obvisously a new pairing and thought TGH looked decent in his first game, but he's a lot worse than Travis. He should probably start ahead of Tavares against Coventry too but I'd give Sidnei a start again soon if I was Ismael.
  12. Morishita had that one moment in the first half where he crossed for Gudjohnsen who should've done better. I think we're seeing most of our summer signings are needing time to get up to the pace and physicality of the Championship. Tronstad admitted it took a bit of time when he first joined too, but then after a while he was fine and coped well. Players like McLoughlin are expected to gel right in, whereas the reason Miller and Alebiosu have done better than the rest is that they've both played in the SPL, de Neve had his best performance in a Rovers shirt today, which is a positive as well.
  13. As long as he takes his frustrations out on the pitch and deliver the goods I don't mind. Didn't contribute too much other than scoring and having a couple of good chances, but that's still an improvement from earlier games this season.
  14. We beat them but will have to beat them again to get the points. Coventry away next will be a mountain to climb for these lads.
  15. Great response. Started the second like we should’ve started the first; on the front foot. Then they scored against the run of play. Can’t continue being switched off from the start though.
  16. Defending so deep at home. Just waiting for the opposition to take control of the games. I don’t understand why we’re not trying to string a few passes together. Stoke can easily concede a couple here…
  17. Is he really that quick? I suspect he was quicker before his muscle strains last season.
  18. Sure, that’s why I asked it…………… ”Across the past 10 Championship seasons, an average of 44.5 points has been enough to avoid relegation to League One.”
  19. That’s 48 points over the course of a season. Would you take that at this point?
  20. xG 0,61 - 0,46 I’d give de Neve the nod ahead of Kargbo next time. Why are we defending so low and stand-offish at home?
  21. Didn’t deserve to lose but we’re not creating much and shipping soft goals. Recipe for disaster. Alebiosu our best player.
