  1. I think we tried, we were the better side but have to take our chances and we're sorely missing Tronstad/Forshaw.
  2. Expecting Gueye to be replaced in January, and hopefully Pickering as he's not getting any time on the pitch any time soon. Signing Forshaw was clearly a mistake too, he's not been fit all season. Some big calls have to be made but I'm sure they'll blame the pitch.
  3. Those two misses (Gardner-Hickman and Ohashi) really are incredible.
  4. Not good enough. At least we did come back from trailing at HT. Should never have conceded here though...no one in particular impressed me tonight.
  5. Think the Gardner-Hickman sub is a forced one, looked like he got a knock when they scored.
  6. The referee has been really poor. Come on Rovers!
  7. Rovers have to go go before you do.
  8. Playing to their game. Oxford are hoofing it and have still enjoyed more possession than us in the first half. We miss Tronstad/Forshaw to take control of this game. Soft goal let in again, Miller gave away a needless freekick there - should be replaced in January.
  9. I realise that, I was merely emphasising my point that as a Rovers fan I find it odd that our own fans want points deduction or other severe punishment. As a repeat offender, I absolutely believe we should have to put up some guarantees for investment into the pitch for next season, possibly on top of a fine.
  10. I hope we don't have to replay the fixture and are awarded all three points this time. Our fixture list is getting as clogged up as the drainage 'system' at Ewood and we have a squad fighting tooth and nail to stay up, so anything we can get I'll take. I do not want relegation and fear that we'll become another Bolton Wanderers FC if we do.
  11. Got good workrate and mobility, and will grow into a decent Championship player. Lacks a lot, can't pass for one, but we're pretty desperate so I'd sign him as well if it's cheap enough and his wages aren't too daft.
  12. Forshaw and Hedges were both knackered. Baradji did well and knows how to press and Tavares was our only option for that role. Fresh legs needed in January.
  13. Might as well blame Cantwell if you're pointing fingers at de Neve. We invited the pressure and looked nervous but still gutting. We look like a team capable of staying up, but injuries can continue to pile on and there are suspensions, poor run of form (this isn't it) etc. Really wanted to beat McKenna and his team tonight!
  14. The problems really start when the players that are supposed to come on and see games out are now starting matches, and our bench aren't qualified for the job. I'm sure Rovers are working tirelessly on getting rid of Gueye in January to bring a new striker in. We also need a RWB if Alebiosu leaves for AFCON, and definitely a central defender. Wouldn't mind a winger either.
  15. As a defender you never want to run towards your own goal with the long ball over the top. But we invited pressure on ourselves and with our recent history of conceding late it's getting increasingly tough to ride the pressure off. Some really good performances have turned into heartbreak this season, but when you look at tonight's game how many times did we really threaten Walton? Ipswich looked as comfortable as we did against QPR; shit all night but not too troubled. Positive that we're looking a lot better on set-pieces. Need to sign bodies in January.
  16. Just when I thought I couldn't handle any more... Lost our shape and composure once we we took the lead. I wouldn't have subbed on Gueye, I don't think he deserves another minute for this team. Some great performances. We were the far better side but we didn't create too many chances so 1-1 isn't a robbery. It's a bit strange that we sub on the same players that can't hold onto a lead again. I realise Hedges was knackered but Gudjohnsen surely could've continued?
  17. Crewe must be due a payment if he plays a few more matches. Doesn't make sense that he hardly ever gets any minutes.
  18. Put him up against Moore towards the end.
  19. Fuck off ref. Such a soft free kick to hand them. Good effort.
  20. I'd give this post a hundred likes if I could. Makes no sense. I'm sure they'll offer him the same terms on a one-year deal at the most...would love for him to stay on, been a really solid player for us.
  21. No engine in the engine room without Tronstad. Cantwell is our playmaker but Tronstad is what makes us tick when he's on song and the players around him are awake and aware of their surrondings (unlike last night).
  22. Baradji was the only one who half resembled a player. Guess which one we don't own?
  23. I agree regarding Pratt, but: He's obviously playing a very low-risk game, and with McLoughlin in the middle he doesn't quite get the angles he would normally get in the wide LCB position. He's the best passer out of the three CB's tonight, and we struggle to get going when Miller is so sloppy and Pratt plays it so safe. Disappointing night but didn't think that performance warranted a clean sheet.
  24. Second could've pulled it back in the oppposite corner. First one a little push but inside the six-yard box. The sum of those two goals warrants at least one goal. Not good enough tonight, although both our frontment were left with scraps for the most part.
