I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes and how far exact the two clubs are apart in terms of valuation. Pretty sure it’s not £5m excl. add-ons though.

We obviously have a bit of money to spend. £1,5m plus add-ons is a good offer for a mid-table League One player. Bristol City need a replacement for Mehmeti so can see them in the chase as well, as has been reported.

He’s played with a lot of intent this season. I just hope him and Tronstad can stay fit. As for LWB it’s obvious that we’re going to sign Hedges for another season and that they won’t sign another backup unless de Neve is sold. I for one hope we’re not too locked in the 3-5-2 system but play whatever formation ensures we field our best eleven on the day. Our squad lacks depth and we have to avoid playing our reserves out of position if we can.

Particularly impressed by Cashin today. Takes some mental strength to bounce straight back after the start he had. Used his body well to make up for his lack of of pace. Must be on the same diet as John McGinn.

Ohashi once again missing a sitter. He runs himself into the ground, making it harder to stay composed, but we really need a finisher. Would love Szmodics back on loan for the remainder of the season. Good comeback from conceding another soft goal, thought we did well and the midfield with Forshaw and Tronstad worked a lot better than it has in previous weeks. C'mon you Rovers!

Baradji is already in our squad. Who else? Maybe clear up some wages so we can actually get a decent player to sign…

Ipswich sign Mehmeti for £3m. Good signing for them.

Baradji has come from a lesser quality league and a long injury lay-off so probably needs a bit of time to adapt. Has looked great in spells, but also large spells have been frustrating, but I think at the moment our only defensive sound midfielder is Tronstad and he can't carry the whole team by himself. I think I would scrap the 3-5-2 for now, seeing as we're not playing Alebiosu anyway. Put Pickering or Ribeiro back in the team and let Atcheson play RB, with McLoughlin and O'Riordan as CB's. That will give us extra support in the middle, and we can play de Neve in a 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 with good support, and same with Jørgensen on the other flank. Tronstad, Baradji and Forshaw as CMs.

He was mis-managed unfortunately and it was too much too soon and another breakdown. Hopefully they’ll learn when it comes to easing Carter back in.

How many senior players have had their contracts renewed this season? Scott Wharton is the only one I can remember but he's a true Rover and spent the majority of his senior career on the treatment table unfortunately. Ismael is blaming injuries but the game last night was dead and gone and the two subs he made were youth players. Why isn't he letting Ohashi rest for 15-20 mins when he's highly ineffective? Toss Pratt up top, who cares... if we're waiting for everyone to come back from injury in order to be able to win games, Ismael should ensure we don't take maximum risk of suffering further injuries

McLoughlin not captain material for me, neither is Cantwell. Are we zonal marking on defensive set pieces? Never works.

We had two footballers on the field tonight; Tronstad and Forshaw. Tactically we're a mess and look a really disjointed side. Very worried about the remainder of this season. Jørgensen is lightweight and has to adapt quickly. He is better in a 4-5-1/4-3-3 but was probably 'too good to turn down' for us. Yeah........what to say.

Glimt play 4-3-3, so you're correct but he can probably play as a second striker in a 3-5-2 as well. I think if we stick to the say formation and Henriksson is the other alternative, then Jørgensen has to start tomorrow night.

I would start Jørgensen, he was preparing for the CL match against City and match fit. A good outlet to have on the counter too.

Nypan on the bench again tonight for Boro. Another loan deal we could possibly do the old swaparoo with? AM and not played well for Boro so far but highly rated. Not sure of the details in the deal with Boro.
