  1. We don't have an outlet any longer like we did in Arma, Khadra and Brereton. On another note I thought the ref today was soft as...
  2. 1-1 a fair result. 'Of course' they score a fantastic freekick against us... Thought we adjusted well in the second half, and we're a lot more solid now. Great goal by Hyam but he gets found out 1vs1 defensively. At least we have good cover now with three at the back, even though it's a difficult task for our central midfielders. That's why we can't control games... In this system it would be great if we could have one of either McFadz or Hyam to slot into the anchor role when we're on the ball, but neither are good enough for that role. Hope we can nick a win here and there to not put too much pressure on the fixtures that stick out.
  3. Neither side risked much really. Dull draw but we'll take it at this stage. The home games versus Millwall, Plymouth and Sheff W. stand out as the must win matches from now and until the end of the season.
  4. How much better than Wahlstedt is Pears? Imagine where we had been with him all season instead of that Swedish dud. Never thought I'd say that...
  5. Moran too deserves some credit. A lot better than his teammate from B&H.
  6. A lot better. Bucko and Tronstad look a good pairing. Still only one good chance over the 90 minutes so all in all a poor game by all standards, but take the point and prepare for Norwich. Chrisene improved a little too in the second half. Cardiff there for the taking, as were Birmingham.
  7. That'll be because we can't refuse a big bid, not because he wants to go. Star man here.
  8. Conceding less, more defensive sound now with three CB's but also a lot worse going forward.
  9. Travis starting for Ipswich tonight. Think he would've started in Wales too, if he was there.
  10. Our senior players need to take a hold of this one and settle the young lads down instead of slagging them off. We have a real chance here, Cardiff look very poor but still not as poor as us.
  11. What the hell was that!? Not fighting for our lives... Garrett looks like a fish out of water, Ayari is taking a hiding and our forward two can't trap a ball. Intensity level of a behind the doors friendly. Christ.
  12. Not looking forward to our matches at the moment, been a rough couple of months. Anxious feeling going into this one, but we did have great energy at least against PNE, just the quality lacking.
  13. Tronstad having to do the work for two in midfield at the moment. Last season we played 1-1 at their place with Hyam scoring an oggie in overtime. 55% possession and the better side. Today we had 37%... Just route one at the moment. What happened to this group? No direction. I actually didn't bother much after the horrible match against Brum. Gallager was a little bit better, he needs a referee that's on "his side"... Good to see Sammie continuing his goal-scoring form.
  14. I don't think Fleck is fit. How many points can people on here see us win after our last game? From the fixture list the two home games versus Plymouth and Sheff W. look absolutely crucial. Think we'll get beaten soundly by PNE.
  15. It's his first DoF gig. Even if the project has changed, he can be successful under different models. I'd say there's less pressure now as we have no money to spend on players, so all the emphasis will be put on the academy.
  16. Thank you Stoke
  17. Could've needed Travis for this one. Instead he's sat on the bench for Ipswich again tonight. Our captain.
  18. Where would he walk to?
  19. Spot on. Everyone was singing the praises of Dolan, Hedges and Gallagher after the weekend, but they were noshow'ing us again last night. We have too many players that blow hot and cold unfortunately. We need more Tronstad's.
  20. Having slept on it we started fairly well in the press, as usual. But Birmingham were solid playing out from the back and got away with that little mistakes they made. As soon as they grew into the game it was never going to be anything other than grinding out a draw or a deserved loss. What do I like about the past couple of matches? A little bit more variation in play and a lot more switch passes. Getting bodies in the box anticipating the cross. What I don't like is how stressed and anxious we look. No time on the ball and panic station all game long. Even under periods where we're getting pressed we take quick throws and get the pace up (I'm thinking that was a strategy to not let them slow it down) but it led to a lot of passes astray and no plan for attack. We're a central midfielder short with Adam out, and hopefully people see how vital he was now. Pennies we got for him. JRC not match fit and Garrett needs more time, I doubt Fleck is ready and whether he'll ever be again.
  21. He's given away a handful of goals because he's over-committing. Can't cross for the life of him either. No footballing brain there unfortunately. Hard-working though, I'll give him that.
  22. Birmingham were on a poor run and with 32 points before the game, they were four points behind us. There for the taking. Worst game I've seen this season I think. Getting a bit disillusioned here...
  23. This squad needs heavy investment. Don't be fooled by the Stoke result, we nearly invited them back into that one too.
  24. It's obviously the gameplan to keep it simple. But we look so tense and nervy it's not promising for the coming few months. And no response as usual.
