He's pretty good off the ball too, but he'll have to develop both aspects of his game if he's to become a major player in the PL. Give him a couple of years and he'll have the complete package and be a regular in the England squad.

Well, I've thought about what went to shits in the game versus QPR and I think by trying to objectively break down the team then I see so much weakness that everyone has to be on top of their game in order to win against any division rival. Pears - quick and has definitely improved, but still a pretty poor shot stopper and not the tallest plus a bit weak physically. Lower Championship level. JRC - Rusty and a bit heavy-legged after just having returned from injury. Probably shouldn't start at this stage but we don't have anyone else. Will get going soon and has to. Championship level. Hyam - Played decent but really slow and don't think he commands his co-workers enough as captain. Championship level. Wharton - Slow on and off the ball. Not the strongest, tallest or fastest. League One level. Chrisene - Motm!? Not for me. He has potential but offered little going forward other than the chance he scuffed in the first half. Only option atm. Lower Championship level. Moran - Unreliable and so many passes goes astray. Doesn't look a threat but has some raw attributes that might make him a decent player down the line. Not ready for a starting spot in the Championship, but must be in his contract. League One level. Tronstad - Our best player in recent weeks but had a poor game. Didn't click with Moran and lost some important duels. Smart enough to know when he has to foul; look at the yellow card he took when he lost the ball clumsily. Top Championship level. Szmodics - Was a shadow of himself. He kept running but his teammates lack the footballing IQ to look for him in goalscoring positions. Worst game he's played in a good while, but not only his fault. Top Championship level. Sigurdsson - Worst player on the pitch. Offer nothing, nothing... Has no pace and no trickery to play on the wing. Never crosses the ball, just cuts inside and gets muscled off the ball or gives it away. I wonder what his favourit position is because he's terrible on the LW. League One level. Dolan - Thought he was the worst player on the pitch initially but a lot of action around him at least. Like a hornet buzzing around but without the sting. Only interested in marketing himself and doesn't care about the team. Head must be elsewhere. Could've played Szmods 1 on 1 in the first half but opted to get his shot blocked instead. Needs to improve and find a higher low for his performance levels. League One level. Gallagher - after a great game versus Wrexham (same as Dolan) he was back to his worst. Unable to do his job; hold the ball up, get his teammates involved and get in the box to convert crosses. Got a goal off a richochet, and looks hungry for goals, which is good. Has to know his limits and must stop losing the ball so easily by turning inside. T R A P the ball ffs. Championship level. Telalovic - Doesn't look like scoring anytime soon. League One level. Ayari - Some promise. Interested in making things happen, even if that means he'll lose the ball once in a while. Championship level Markanday - Not worse than Dolan but that doesn't mean it's a compliment. Fails to make an impact from the bench nine times out of ten. Lower League One level.

To sell the new model to the owners, they must've promised a lot of return on the player-trading model. Looks obvious to me that India put their foot down on incomings and we could only pay minuscule fees. -

The larger fanbase of other clubs don't really know what's going on at Rovers. They get the bits and parts, and of course it's embarrassing with two deadline day dogshite dealings, but most people follow their own teams and don't really see more than the surface; poor run of results. It's a bit of a catch 22 because the only way we can turn this around is if the club gets bigger support, but I know why people won't chuck money after the current lot. So I'll ask you a question: What would have to change for you to return to your 'old ways'? -

Do we know the details of the error yet? We know it's VISA related so is it because there has to be two visa applications? One for the initial loan and one in case it's made permanent after the summer? Purely guesswork. -
Someone changed from permanent transfer and stopped negotiations before a different deal was constructed and it was scramble time. There must've been some resources on other transfers as well. Shambolic nonetheless. We probably all want SW to go, but I'm not sure if it changes anything. We've been under a transfer embargo before SW and it all comes back to the owners. But we're in a bit of a predicament because we can't overspend even if we wanted to because of FFP. Extra annoying now that we didn't take our chance last season and win a play-off place.

Possibly for the better for you personally, Swanson, but I don't think I can ever come to that conclusion myself. Some fond memories from League One, so it's all about adjustment. Right now it's dogshite on and off the pitch though, and nobody can really blame you. -

I’ve thought about it today and my theory is GB will take responsibility and offer his resignation. Rovers/SW won’t accept it and come out with a statement why. That’s my theory before reading the rumours about GB. Who would want the job that isn’t a crook? -

Whoever it was that fucked up again with the 'clerical error' should pay for the lawyer in the appeals process. -

You need something that stands out. A symbol or a colour combination that differs from the normal ones imo. Venky's logo with a red cross? STOP signs? -
I think he stood on his line too much for a while but adjusted after a while. Not a leader though, only shouts 'come on lads!'. Not the only one who isn't a leader in today's team btw.

He's not a key player. Truly shocking today.

Working under FFP is hard as it is. Now that Venky's can't inject cash it's even worse... sign League One players and you become a League One team. I really feel for JDT but we never looked like winning today. It was tough to watch, we just can't get going. Needed Chrisene to score with his right foot early doors, or Dolan passing to the league's top scorer Szmodics who would've been clean through on goal. Didn't adjust to QPR and their counters at all. Same as watching Huddersfield. Crazy. I was unsure after the game but JDT looked fired up and I don't think he'll quit. Convinced me, and I don't care that he's taking the fight publicly. It's the right thing to do. 100% has my support. Wenky's can f off. -

I see quite a few fans are negative towards JDT. I wonder who their suggestions are for his replacement. -

I agree. I think Broughton will work with whatever means he's given, and find excitement and personal development even if finances aren't looking good. He's got nothing to lose really, and it's his first DoF job so he won't be in a rush to quit. He'll take a better job if offered of course. JDT is ambitious and speaks his mind. Waggot wants to run a tight ship and keep it 'civil', and needs a yes man. Crazy because things looked really good before the cock-up of January 2023. -

The deleted tweets from yesterday revolve around that the McGuire deal fell through. He was right and didn’t elaborate and deleted them before anyone else said the same a few hours later. -

Strange wording to use ‘blocked’ so Elliott must have some intel that there’s something rotten in the state of Denmark. Don’t think they’ll sack him. Too stingy for that, and we won’t find a better coach. -

McFadzean hasn't played since November, but he has at least trained. Fleck I'm a little more concerned about and probably was an option presented to us late last night as we couldn't pull off someone a bit safer, and with more promise. JDT has expressed a need for experience and Gregg has delivered both that and some promising players (O'Riordan and McGuire), and some short-term back up from Villa and Pool. -

The purchase option is solely ours so there's an agreement for that already in place. If he does so well that there are other bidders, we buy him first and move him on for a profit in the same window. Theoretically.
