  1. A bargain for £5M. God bless Souness, best bit of business he ever did for Rovers.
  2. There was a small to medium scale kick off at the bottom of the Darwen End on the front line.
  3. Jesus wept. Thats really shocking. I thought we were bad.
  4. Hilarious, esp the Noddy Holder one. Brum in The Guardian Gallery!
  5. Niall Quinns Disco Pants Are The Best, They Go up To The Top Of His Chest Money to burn some people...
  6. Sounds more like his pocket. Tight get.
  7. They're too busy robbing money of John Paul George and Ringo
  8. Is Bob 'The Voice Of Rovers' Fleming a pundit now? OOh I like him.
  9. Seem to remember getting a plastic bottle launched on my head from the upper Darwen End.
  10. Bob, that is not Allardichio, you nurke. Its that Bob Caragees fella.
  11. Bryan Robson. An excellent knowledge of international football, having played 80 odd games for England. Players would respect him for the man was a brilliant footballer. Used to working with overpaid nancys and prima-donnas having spent several years at Middlesbrough. Worked wonders with WBA with zero cash. Wouldn't cost a lot of cash to pay, just a crate of ale and and a bottle of Jack Daniels every week and he would be happy.
  12. After Coles goal, the whole Leppings Lane end , around 5,000 of us all singing Andy Cole, Andy Cole, Andy Andy Cole...Gets the ball, scores a goal, Andy Andy Cole! Went over the tops in a car. Stopped at Old Glossop for a pint and a curry , in a pub/curry house. Classic.
  13. Joined last year Den. If you need me to help on this issue, let me know. As a footnote, many lapsed fans and similar would see a return to a cash turnstile as s concession to the pre Sky days, a nod to the people who think that football isn't what it used to be. Which, of course it isn't.
  14. Well Den it appears Rovers dont want to help them selves here. All those problems could have answers if they really wanted it. I suspect the clubs main sticking point is Lost data. Club image – PL or conference? At the moment our crowds are headed towards conference levels!
  15. How about the Darwen End lower tier is non season tickets for one season as a trial, make all turnstiles on this stand cash only and unreserved seating? Or upstairs in the Darwen End? Nowt happening there most weeks?
  16. Not a lot really, but mentally its another barrier. Have you been to the ticket office on match days? There is always a decent length queue, and it takes a while to serve people who say oh I want it third seat along and on the fifth row , not too noisy, in the shade blah blah. I suppose to qualify my feelings, it should a cash turnstile on each stand, with unreserved seating available. Of which there are plenty right now. If Rovers advertised Cash turnstiles, no queueing just roll up on the day I' sure it would help.
  17. Which is all the astounding to see these figures... Football365
  18. And another thing, pay cash on the turnstile! I strongly suggest to BRISA that lobbying for this at Ewood, then really promoting it would be a big move forward on the attendance debate. Any business needs to make it so easy for potential customers to buy their goods/services. People give up very easily, and need every encourgement possible. Bring back the casual fan!
  19. Sorry Waggy, but I thought we missed Savage yesterday. And the pitch was crud, and was not condusive to our free flowing brand of football. On the plus side, Reid was super and I quite like Sunderland town centre. Did anyone see the Inland Revenue building? It had an orginal Victorian frontage, and then amass of 60s style metal and concrete clad round the rest, what a shame. Bit like Crystal House in Preston , which replaced the fire damaged old town hall.
  20. I was wagging it down Astley Park Warren. Putting rocks in snowballs to throw at Saint Micks kids.
  21. No need to grass. Just dont go in, and they will soon stop.
  22. Here is this weeks olden days picture of the opposition manager. Unfortunately he's not very famous, and had a low key playing career. Here is at the low point, in a shirt I can't quite recognise, the face showing the pain and mental tortue of having to wear such an uncomfortable piece of clothing. The poor little sausage.
  23. JP10@Wales are you Phil Tufnell?
  24. Ta Bob. I looked at the Official Site three times and couldn't see that. Just re-checked it and I can now see the information clearly. I smell a rat, and I think it may be something to do with that broken pipe at christmas.
  25. If we more than a grand, I reckon thats actually not a bad effort. Around a twelfe of our ST holders going away to low key fixture against the worst ever Premiership side. Need confirmation of pay on the day at Sunnerlun to avoid a wasted journey, anyone?
