  1. Really really looking forward to this match. Three o'clock on a Saturday afternoo, Rovers playing for a European spot rather than relegation scrap, Bellamy fit and so on. So definitely a hammering for the Blues it is. C'mon Rovers, you wouldn't let me down again......would you?
  2. Did you know Alan Smith is an anagram of Slam An Hit?
  3. They could have put last seasons goals on a 1.44MB floppy disc.
  4. "Everyone works really hard in training. This is the hardest club I've ever been at from a training point of view, but then I knew that from my time with Wales. " Bellamy in LET.
  5. New Footage of Ronaldo V Nelsen
  6. All I can say is I agree with Bob. The most exciting, and best atmospheres at Ewood ever. Unbeleivable, if you could only bottle it and spray it on games today.
  7. Smith your leg took one hell of a beating you tyke twit. I doubt he would be singing sorry for me when I snapped my knee in half, having spent 10 years slagging me off for being a Rovers fan.
  8. Bob Lord is a Butcher, he wears a butchers hat. And when he wears it back to front He looks a proper twit. Last sung by me, on me own at Cardiff last April.
  9. A very welcome contribution. Excellent. Thank you.
  10. He hits a ball hard though eh?
  11. Just to keep the thread off topic, unless you are a diehard supporter and feel the pain and the elation of say a 4-3 win over United than basically football today is absolutely rubbish, for want of a swear word. I don't blame any stay aways one bit.
  12. So he was just bombed out of the 16 altogether for being crap?
  13. Our defensive 4-5-1 has been replaced by a more attractive 4-4-2. When the team is not 'up for it' or the creative players are having a bad game, then this, coupled with the lack of bite and defensive aggression that 4-5-1 gave us means defeat, particulary against a team like Everton. To win these games, we have to play well. Simple but true.
  14. Only saw the highlights, but appeared to be involved in Boltons most dangerous moves?
  15. Couldn't help notice the influence Matt Jansen had for Bolton at Highbury yesterday...
  16. We have taken two steps forward this season, now we have taken one step back. Nett result, we have move forward. Three points at home to a woeful Sunderland on Wednesday should see us top seven. Not too shabby. Went to WBA and EVerton and the amount of saves made by all three goalies we have faced is the most worrying aspect though.
  17. LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
  18. All roads head to Wigan this lunch time as Rovers,Everton,Wigan and Liverpool fans all travel to the same area at the same time.
  19. I think there will be around 1,549 in the away end. You heard it here first. Best Wishes, Pleasure.
  20. Freddy Shepherd would do worse than get Hearts Supremeo Jordonav to pick his team for him for a while, he's got Hearts to second in their league...
  21. I was working on Deansgate in Bolton at the time, and couldn't get any decent reception on the shop radio. So I had to keep running out of the shop, and looking into the shop next doors window, which was Granada TV Rentals I think, and look at the video printer or teleprinter as it may be still been then. What a long season that felt like, long trips to Cambridge (twice), and what felt like around a dozen defeats in a row. In a subsequent edition of When Saturday Comes, a Plymouth fan had written a letter in wondering why thousands of Rovers fans referred to the manager as Kinky Knees!
  22. Missing for Everton on Saturday will be Injured Suspended.
  23. I went in the SWI/Rovers Store this lunchtime, and there was row after row of Rovers kits and clothing. And most of it was vastly marked down, EG The current Lonsdale-Lonsdale Home shirts are Half Price, in all sizes. Plus BRFC branded leisure wear, and gifts and novelty items too. Even the HSA long sleeve Yellow away kit was there at £13.49!!!
