Good winger i would be happy with him and Edwards. Sell off Whittingham, Caddis, Gladwin. I think it would be fantastic additions to the team and better than what we have.
-
As much as I would like Kemar Roofe I think he is way out of our price range. However, Marcus Maddison now that is an interesting name that could be just as lethal! Hoping that we can get Caddis, Whittingham, Gladwin out and send Hart, Nuttal, Platt on loan. Onwards and upwards! Exciting times, and glad to see our first signing across the line. Rothwell ins't a shabby signing but it is a very much wait and see how he develops i won't be one to pass judgement without seeing him play. First impressions is that he will fit right into the team spirit which is key for me!

To be honest with all this talk about transfer I think there are some cracking signing to be made in the lower leagues. From Marcus Maddison, Kieffer Moore, Jordan Willis, all would make fantastic additions. Get Armstrong on Loan and some added bite to the midfield i would be pretty chuffed.

Absolutely agreed, but currently we have a team of grafters with some talented football players. The most important for me this year is to stay in the Championship and stabilise and slowly acquire a team that can push. I am aware we need quality but I would much rather avoid a Ravel Morrison, Leon Best, Dickson Etuhu, Danny Murphy situation where they were all technically fantastic players but attitude was rotten to the core. I agree with Mowbray we need the right character in who has the right talent. Successful clubs have always spoken about the unity of the team, we have that now and we need to continue on in that direction and make the right signing at the right time.
-
I would argue differently. Quality and Character must go hand in hand. Too many times we have signed perceived quality signings whose character ruined squad atmosphere. Fundamentally this is a team sport not just an individual one. I would much rather see a typical fighting spirited Blackburn Rovers with everyone working for each other.

I think so far we are in a good place. I understand Conway contract and I don't think people should be up in arms about it. We talk regularly in football that you need characters, locker room leaders, etc...I see Conway professionliasm and behind the scenes contribution even more important than his influence on the pitch. So I am glad he gets to stay. with regard to signing if we look at the championship so far, very few clubs have been super active. So this god right of deserving to sign a player by now is nonsense. Wait for the right opportunity and take it from there. I would actually consider Tommie Hoban back as Mowbray has shown he can manage injury prone players like Mulgrew. He would be a good signing and not super pricey. I do like Chapman so I would be delighted To get Chapman back on loan. Overall I do think we need 1CB, 1 Creative Midfielder, 1Winger, 1 Defensive Mid, and a Striker

Manager or Players to blame?
roverstdt replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think a bit of both. Unfortunately I see us as the Sunderland of the Championship. What I mean by that is no club in the UK has gone through what we have in the last 7 years. We have had a losing mentality across all this period of time. I think more importantly we need someone who can actually slowly breed confidence and create a long term strategy. Bowyer did stabilise the boat but we still had a large influx and outflux of players. Right now this club needs stability more than anything. Are our results anything to brag about? No. But I am conscious win our two games in hand we are just 5 or 6 points behind the leaders and back in the play which isn't horrible. We will grow and get stronger as time goes by. -
Thought I would put this here but anyone looking for some positive news to brighten there day I can confirm that Steve Kean is struggling in the S League and has 4 points in 11 games. http://www.sleague.com/competitions/s-league/table

We can't allow him to go. We have the manager the fans are backing keep him in place for the love of god.

All I can say is Thank You TM. You gave you are all, you gave us hope, please god I hope you stay on.

For the record if I am not mistaken but isn't our record against Villa been awful in recent years? -

Tomorrow is a huge game between two dysfunctional sides at different ends of the table. It will be interesting to see how we line up. I am not holding my breath for the right result. Unfortunately the damage was done under Coyle. Had we had Mowbray across the whole season we would have been safe by a mile as the loses we had under Coyle would have turned into draws under Mowbray. Tomorrow I would go with players who care and who will fight for the cause and who don't over complicate. --------------Raya-------- Nyambe---Hoban--Lenihan---Williams Mahoney--Lowe--Mulgrew--Bennett ---------Gallagher---Graham------- COYB -

Unfortunately for me the issue has always been the same. Yes we all know the issue with Venkys over the past 7 years and it is clear to say that they very professionally dismantled the club in various ways. Whether it was done through stupidity, confusion, or greed the result is the same. Today we have a club that fans are unable to identify themselves with, other who refuse protest in their own way and other who protest more directly. For me Blackburn Rovers need help and help quick. The thing fans have got to realise it is whether it is through non attendance, direct protest, or turning up to games you can create one banner for all instead of pointing fingers. For the me the role of the Rovers trust is not just to help the community it's which they have done so well, but it is to unite the fan base, create a fund for the benefit of Blackburn rovers with the long term goal to own a significant part of the club as a non profit organisation. However, instead we have various entities and to be honest while I understand the role of each group as each of them represent different values and ideas I am unable to associate myself with one group as they are too specific in my eyes when for the last 7 years we needed one general group who can create a strong following which is to safeguard to the Rovers name and the Jack Walker dream. -
Out of interest after 5 games, how do fans generally feel about Mowbray now that the dust has settled a little bit, I know we can't judge him after 5 games, just asking what is the general feeling of him so far across the team performance, structure, him as an individual etc...Just genuinely interested!
-
Not at all Shameful. You judge an individual based on his results. This season Mowbray hadn't won a game, and can you blame us for that reaction based on the rubbish Venky's has been throwing at us this season? Strange you didn't pick out the comment i made on the same day saying that with a few hours having gone by I am actually more relieved about his appointment.
-
One thing i will say about Tony Mowbray after watching his interview on Rovers Player is that he comes across as an incredibly genuine, honest, hard working man. I will admit after the first interview he sounds like the second most likeable manager we have ever had (Bowyer of course being number 1). I am hoping to god he is successful as he does look like he knows what he is doing. Unlike Appleton, Kean, Coyle, Berg, and so forth.

Other positive he kept Coventry up last year!
-
The one positive i found in all of this is that he is from Yorkshire and not Scotland.....
-
Jesus god dam christ I give up! You go from Adkins to Mowbray....How can you make such idiotic, shameful footballing decisions! You have a whole list of decent managers who would be willing to come. Whether it is Hill, Jackett, Adkins, or whoever else but you go for Tony God Dam Mowbray

Sir you may brand me as you will, as any other fan wishes to, I do not care if someone hasn't been to blackburn and I open minded enough to consider everyone and anyone who calls themselves a Blackburn Fan as a fan. At the point I will end this endless assessment and interrogation as it isn't constructive and just separate and alienates more and more fans. -

And I am sorry but that type of questionning of the loyalty of a fan is completely out of context and the reason we are in the mess we are today because of an ideology like that, which separates rather than unites individuals. But you are right lets stop the conversation there. -

I completely disagree the fact I still turn up to their games across the country within reason of a 2h limit (4h trip in one day) shows my dedication to this club -

Football is like a religion, as a muslim doesn't need to go to Mecca to be classified a muslim, A christian doesn't need to go to the Vatican City to be classified a christian. I do not and need not go to Ewood Park to be classified a fan. -

I don't understand the obsessive idea that I need to be at Ewood Park at least ONCE in my life to be classified as a fan....Seriously it is beyond me.....What is it to you? It is my life I manage it the way I wish too, if I haven't had the time I haven't had the time. My father is an AFC Wimbledon Supporter and is an investor in the club but yet he has never been to see them play, does that make any less of a fan? No, not at all. Wake up and smell the coffee, what is your concern I am live across different countries mostly in the France, where I have my family and I travel 7 months of the year for work what is your concern how I live my life?
