Not surprised sad for the state of affairs. He is an absolute gem of a player and the idea is that he feels he has done enough to be in the first team ahead of Smozdic and others. On talent alone yes I would agree Dack should be ahead, but it is the off the ball effort that Dack isn't known for which is what JDT expects. It must be hard to go from certified starter to playing in the under 21's. However, Diaz to me shows that you just get on with it and try your absolute best to put yourself in the right position to play. At the moment to me since the start of the season it has been quite public how Dack feels, and no one should be entitled to play in the starting 11 based off historical importance of the team. As sad it is for me to say, I would sale him, if we can get 2M raising to 3M based off performances that would be a good deal for all involved and go some way to paying back what we spent in the summer as well!

For me the same problem remains which is the midfield area just the midfield is not on form. I think it is a frustrating period but I am willing to give JDT the benefit of the doubt that the team needs to learn to buy into his tactics and strategy. The problem is too many key players are not on form being Smozdic, Buckley, Travis, which is the main issue. Pickering has surprisingly improved a little so good times. Agreed Dack is better than Smozdic, and he does need game time. I don't think Smozdic is the worst player in the world he had a good end of season last year so he needs to find his feet as well. Hirst the jury is still out but last night would not have helped him. He must be scrapping at the bottom of the barrel to find something of his old self. Personally, the team still has teething issues and this passing system and keeping the ball will keep causing issues until the team truly understands it. I think at the end of the day Southgate knows his team, the issue of loyalty is good and bad i think people forget he does make the tough decision when he need too, as i see Maguire situation very similar to Dier situation at the last tournament. Dier has played his way back into the team. I actually feel we look stronger as a squad than the last tournament.
