What stupid responses!! 1) People do not HAVE to work there, they choose to. 2) What choice? You only have the choice to go where people don't smoke, not choice to go to pubs that are smoking or pubs that are non-smoking. No one says you have to go out to drink. Under the old system, no one said to the owner, you MUST allow smoking. They had the choice then, now they don't. You were still able to drink without being forced to smoke. No one allowed you to drink at home? Or at friends' houses?

Mr. Genius: How is a pub a public place? It is a private establishment and it's owners should be able to run it as they please.

And his teammates, but hey, you've never let the facts get in the way of your love, I mean hate, for Souness. -
Nice to know my point was wasted on someone....

My big issue with him was that he never showed the goal scoring form he has shown this year, yet acted like he was the cat's meow. Glad he seems to have found his form and hope he keeps it up. And hope he never refuses to play for us. -
Forcing us to wear seat belts, taking away the ability to smoke. The sad part is as they slowly take away our liberties you sheep just sit back and let them without a complaint. By the time they take away our right to free speech (among others), you won't care.

Visiting Toronto this week and went to a Raptors game at the Air Canada Centre. What they do is have an outside area that is cordoned off for smokers to go out and grab a smoke, but still not be easy for people to use sneak in without tickets.

He wants a free shirt. -
Yes, Viera and Trezeguet embarrassed Italians everywhere.

I'd have agreed with you before Bolton played Boro. Now I think it's about 50/50 between them and us for the last spot. They have 2 games at hand, but a rougher schedule ahead.

More subtle humor this time. Loved the Howard Hughes and bore the grandchildren lines.

They say they are adding them as capacity increases, up through the 15th. Wouldn't be suprised to see some open on that tomorrow, as they are also starting a "swap" type spot on the site.

As one who has lived through an American "brown elephant" the Big Dig here in Boston (originally about 6 billion, final bill will be 15-20 billion) the killer is that you will still have to pay for the repairs! Shouldn't the company who's poor design and build caused it have to pay? Bet you dollars to donuts they won't. Not only that, they'll make more of a profit. -
Where is your condemnation of Robson's behavior that led up to that? He was as bad as Jose is, but I don't see you, or too many other people, complaining about him. Guess that's because he's not foreign.

Gordo, if you took the time to read my post (you probably did, but are ignoring it because you don't have a good response) you'd know that USA does provide a share of the funding. -

How do you think the club makes so much money for a Sky match? TV rights and PPV fees. A lot of overseas fans shell out money to follow Rovers. I end up paying more for a Sunday afternoon match (not factoring in exchange rate) to watch it on PPV than you pay for your ticket. So does that make you less of a fan since I spent more money to watch the club that day? The extra money each year I spend to get Fox Soccer channel also helps Sky pay for their TV rights - more money going into Rovers' coffers. Then there is Rovers World. I'm sure it does much better by having both overseas and local fans than it would just having local subscribers. -
Bolton has shown that those matches aren't "definite losses" the past couple of seasons. I think they will be our biggest rival for 6th. Never thought I'd say this, but I'm hoping for a Chelsea/Liverpool cup final.
-
Let's put it this way - not factoring in the exchange rate, the top league in England's top sport would still cost less to go see in person than the 4 major pro sports (and college football) over here. And the same as MLS.

There's a thread about that.. lol

Is it a good sign or bad that when I turned the radio on this morning "The Final Countdown" was playing?

OK, I'm languishing in last place, pretty sure to go down to the bottom division this year (had a pretty tough league). One of my CMs just went up to World Class PM with a Powerful skill. Wondering if I should sell him and buy 3 outstanding CMs, as that should be good enough with my other 2 outstandings to bring me back up after next season. He's only 21, so holding onto him would be a good option as well. Thoughts?
