  1. If the receiving player is behind the ball when it is played, he cannot be offside. Equally, as you seem to imply, if the ball is played backward there is no offside.
  2. I am led to believe it is done on a match by match basis.
  3. ..fingers crossed that West Ham's early demise does us a favour or two in the TV stakes.
  4. Thats actually exactly what the letter said Eddie - well, not verbatim, but near enough! It also informed Season Ticket holders of the promotion and explained how the club were committed to maintaining the value of the season ticket. Rather than accidentally being sent to ST holders, it was an excellent communication to all the season ticket holders encouraging them to act as Ambassadors for the club, whilst also keeping them informed of such schemes.
  5. Given the recent response the my efforts at "One Jack Walker" I doubt people even remember.
  6. Aint life a bitch. My fear as a ST holder is something similar.
  7. I cant afford it. That makes me a bad person I think. But Im prioritising a UEFA Cup away match over Chelsea at home Im afraid.
  8. It was the card that actually got me and the wife back in the habit of going, and after a season on utilisign it to its fullest value we got ST's.
  9. I wondered what they actually sang. and why the felt the need to say "shhhhhhhhh" at the end.
  10. To confuse the issue, the Europeans arent currently on CET, they are on CEST. Eurosport will have it right I suspect.
  11. Finally worked it out. It is an hour behind. I think!!!
  12. Does anyone know what time 1200 CET actually is tomorrow. Ive ended up confusing myself with BST, GMT, Daylight savings and everything else.
  13. Im not entirely sure how my post is "rubbish" when the attendance against Saltzberg was shy of 19k, and we are rumoured to have between 13 1/2 and 14k season ticket holders. Whilst I do not know how many of them chose to come, nor whether that would count towards the attendance or not, I know it certainly isn't "rubbish".
  14. They weren't £15 in the Riverside outer. But that cheap ticket area also comprises the JW lower as well. And the fact that they are limited is irrelevant as we cant sell all of them.
  15. It does, however where there is a covering defender the argument stands that it is not a "clear goalscoring opportunity" Its ######, but thats how it is applied.
  16. Didnt really hear, but he failed a fitness test pre match.
  17. I thought he was very good today. And I even managed to be there.
  18. Having seen it again (presuming you are talking about the one of Pedersen) he wasnt the last defender. Although at the time I was livid.
  19. I find this notion strange, would we be complained if we were playing on the Saturday, after having played on the Wednesday? Isnt the time scale identical?
  20. Group stage, Matchday 1 19.10.2006 Group stage, Matchday 2 02.11.2006 Group stage, Matchday 3 23.11.2006 Group stage, Matchday 4 29/30.11.2006 Group stage, Matchday 5 13/14.12.2006
  21. Can you imagine Ajax away going on sale to non season ticket holders!? I cant. Anyway, dont fancy Palermo after the behaviour of the Hammers this week, no doubt the "English" reputation will precede us.
  22. As far as I am aware I am not on Soccer AM this morning. Mr SAS Slater is the goon with the blue stripe on the back left. waza is on the front row, second from the left. And if Im not very much mistaken there is also a steward on there. HAHA he got the cat walk!!!
