It is the morning of Jan 4th. There should already be 2-3 signings through the f**king door. They should have been lock and loaded the minute the window opened. Come on you pathetic wankers, get on with it.

What frustrates me so much, is the wasted opportunities to get good players on board at a point in time that we are an attractive proposition. Now according to the Venkys we are supposed to be a Brighton/Brentford hybrid type model. So bringing players in to polish for a profit but also having a strong youth system. Now although we have a glorious past, the are plenty of other more attractive sides than us in the division. Bigger grounds, larger crowds, less restrictive wage budget etc. However what we have been able to offer for 3 out of the last 4 Jan's has been a realistic proposition to fight for an epl place either by auto or play-offs. Can we seize on to that? We need to be spending north of 10m on investment players both for now and to sell in the future. But they won't. It is incredibly frustrating. You can't keep selling dimishing number of capital assets.

Seems crazy that we have so many seats netted off in the Riverside and JW. I get that the Darwen end is a non-starter at this point (although with an ounce of forethought they could have split the stand in half and given them 2.5k in the bottom and 1.5k in the top) so that we could have sold to our fans.

The fact you guys took Ennis off our hands (and then didn't learn from that mugging off), but then come back in for Gally absolutely astounds me! Two of the worst signings when you combine the 2. Both serially injured and don't score goals. Nightmare forwards.

Complete rubbish. His critism was fully justified last season and it was only good fortune and SS that kept us in the division. Now this season, he has been an utter revelation. He is doing an incredible job, so much so I would say he is doing the best job currently out of all 4 divisions. I and many others have been completely proved wrong. However, let's not go re writing history.

Sorry, each to their own etc, but this is complete madness. Have we learned nothing from 21-22 and 22-23?! We've been in this exact position in 2 out of the 3 last seasons, didn't strengthen and complete F'ed up the 2nd half of the season. Doesn't mean the same thing will happen this year, but come on, let's give ourselves a chance!!

Another brilliant away performance. 5 wins on the bounce with 4 clean sheets and 4 away wins in a row. Insane really. As others have said Eustace has done an incredible job. The squad is a reasonable championship squad, contrary to what others are saying, however I do completely agree that he is ringing the best best out of a well below average forward line. They would all be squad players at pretty much all other championship teams at best. The fact we are winning games is a miracle. I was not sold on him in the least after the pathetic end to last season, but wow was I wrong. Chaddy I doth my cap to you. I agree with some things you say and other times I don't. However you were constant in your desire to give Eustace the opportunity to sign his own players and play his style. Fair play to you. The sad thing is the hope that kills you. We need 2 players in Jan. A quality striker and a pacey wide player. And we'd have a chance. Sadly we'll be shopping at poundland and shit prem teams U21s. Wankers.

We were pretty much 2nd going into Jan in both 21/22 and 22/23. Pricks barely spent a cent either window. Despite our 40m windfall over the last 12 months, what makes you think it will change now?!

Wasn't sure where to put this, but Rangers announced to their shareholders that their summer sales totalled $810k. This included Cantwell and 4 others, so maybe his fee was even less than we thought?

As an aside, whilst we are talking crowds, I think the Sunderland game will have the largest Ewood league attendance that we've recorded since prem relegation (bar oxford). Boxing day, 3pm ko not on TV, cat B prices and Sunderland have sold out 7,300 already. Could be around the 25k mark

Depends on your definition of overplaying. Working an attacking corner back to your own halfway line and then getting dispossessed, is the epitomy of overplaying it imo!

Hull conceded 2 goals to sheff U through over playing. Both goals from when they had corners. Sheff had more opportunities to score due to overplaying. It's amazing how many teams engage in this ridiculousness, especially at a level where players don't have the ability to consistently carry it out. Whatever the opinion about Eustace, I'm glad he hasn't succumbed to this disease.
