A tad hyperbol there? Siggy scored 7 goals and had 4 assists in 34 games for us last season (alot of which would have been off the bench) which isn't a bad return.

One thing that is good about Ohashi is that the J league runs from Feb to Dec, so he is pretty much half way thru the season. So shouldn't need any of that 3 months to get up to speed Mogga bollocks cos he's missed a bit of pre season. Should slot straight in a be on point fitness wise.

Players like this come thru once a generation for a club like ours. We had him for 18 months, did FA with him and then sold as quick as we could to the first bidder, a mid table also-ran who ain't won jack in their entire history. For barely £20m. Whenever I think about VAR, I always think about 'that' Berg decision against United at Ewood. The whole point of VAR is to remove the blantly obvious/howler/borderline cheating decisions that cost teams titles, relegation, promotion. We could have done with VAR at the end of 22/23 season with the cov and Dingle debacles. Keep it, reduce its use, speed it up and get the decisions right.

Completely different. Uncle Jack meant we could compete and spend similar to other large 5 of 6 clubs in the league. We just did it better then them. Look at some of the dross clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc signed in the early 90s. City on the other hand over the last 20 years have blown everyone out of the water and even when bad signings are made, they just shrug their shoulders and spend more on the same position the next summer.
