  1. I don't always agree with everything you write (and having seen your posts on the politics page I defo don't agree with you there!), but you are absolutely spot on here. It's a slap in the face for all of us who do the right thing, have been vax/booster, wear masks etc. I won't say any more as I don't want another thread to be dominated by covid.
  2. Good old championship. Utterly crazy division. That's no win in 10 combined now for the top 2 teams in the league. Win on boxing day vs Hull and potentially we go joint top!
  3. Hold on, isn't Dolan the one actually with covid (ie can't be helped). It's the unvaccinated close contacts (can be helped) who you deserve your scorn?
  4. I thought that the ticket prices for Barnsley being cat C/£20 meant that Waggot had finally got the message (yes I realise it is technically a mid week game, but it is during the Christmas festive period so I thought they'd make it a Cat B on that excuse).. But no ol' Swag comes up with another special for Huddersfield. New years day, Rovers going well, decent away support and bang ruins all of that with Cat A prices. Ffs
  5. Potential for a good do at Hull. Boxing day, big allocation, tickets look like they are £21ish on their website, team is playing well..
  6. You're missing the point. We weren't the ones wanking on about attendances all the time. We said to them that if the situation was reversed you'd do the same.. They never believed us, not superior Burnley...now look at them. Home games look half empty, taking the reduced allocation at every away day and not selling out..
  7. Exactly this. I remember them going on and on and on about it when our away support dropped in the late 2000s time. 'We'll never be like you, Burnley is a football town'.. I always said to the dingles that if they maintain their position in the prem for a while and the novelty wears off, they'll be the same if not worse. Now look at them. Not to mention away tickets are capped at 30 quid. Alot of ours were 35-50 quid and that was 15 Yeats ago!
  8. They have scabbed a fair amount of late goals already this season the basterds
  9. Huge game today. When was the last time we actually beat a team above us/around the playoffs in the league? Maybe Brentford 1-0 at home a couple years back? Such an opportunity to deliver a statement of intent by winning the game, rather then shutting up and trying to nick a draw. Come on Rovers!
  10. I don't remember seeing your bets against peterborough in that match thread? I'd have thought you'd made a packet in that game. Rovers to win with Diaz to score or similar?
  11. On another note Ainsworth's Wycombe have just thumped top of the table and division form side plymouth 3 nil away from home..
  12. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/blackburn-rovers-open-transfer-talks-over-attacker-targeted-by-middlesbrough/ Hedges linked again this morning.
  13. Really annoyed me how a prem club didn't come in for him in the summer..
  14. I honestly think that we should be building the team around Rothwell. Had the potential to be that good. Has a goal and 3 assists from his last 4 full games as well as other opportunities created. Give the guy what he bloody wants!
  15. I would be delighted with Ainsworth. For alot of people it's the passion and enthusiasm he would bring. After 4 years of dreary, repetitive, double speak press conferences where TM contradicts himself numerous times and generally just talks shite, not to mention the tactics and selections, people just want a plain talker who doesn't over complicated things. Ainsworth fits that bill perfectly!
  16. Agreed Chaddy. The change was very noticeable on the Facebook pages. There are alot of 'in Tony we trust' clowns on there, but they were very quiet after the qpr game. Much more so then after Cov, because that was 'played well', 'we were unlucky', 'cov are 4th only expected a point' etc. Get him gone NOW
  17. So we've now squandered 4 points at home after being 2 nil up against the mighty Luton and Coventry ffs. Not to mention the huddersfield and blackpool debacles. I've said it many times before, this is a very capable championship squad that outside of fulham, wba and bournemouth should be competing right at the top of the division. Unfortunately the manager means that will never happen. So frustrating, this is probably the last year before more of the squad is broken up.
  18. Of the all that's taken place in the TM era this stink angers me the most. Considering we are basically skint and constantly up against ffp, so waste several 100 k on this non league standard keeper is criminal. Imagine if we used that fee and his wages to up the renewal terms offered to Rothwell et al?
  19. The pne and blackpool games were both cat A+ so its actually £36 down to £30 effectively. I think that's a good saving, because the cat A+ was a joke and 32 too steep for cat A also. Sheff u game should be a real bumper crowd, you'd think they'd bring 5k plus at that price.
  20. Whilst of course we need to judge players on goals and assists to a certain degree, it doesn't tell the whole story. It's not Rothwell's fault when a chance he creates isn't finished. I saw a stat about 'good chances' created (yes I know hard to define, but still) and he was far and away top.
  21. Utter debacle today. Yes we have been a little unlucky with injuries, but his tactics and subs have cost us against luton, huddersfield and now blackpool. This promising squad is being utterly misused by this pelican. Get him gone
  22. Yes that's the scumbag. Ripping off fellow Rovers fans
  23. Hey all. A couple of Facebook groups that I am on have got people selling tickets for £100 to £150 above face value. I would like to get a print screen and report to the club. Can anyone recommend the best place to send it. Is anyone else on the groups seeing the same thing?
