Yes didn't go quite as hoped. Although it probably suited Bournemouth to be the away as it forced barnsley to come out a little. Barnsley had a lot of the game and chances whilst it was 1-0. If they had equalised it would have made for an interesting game. As it was soon as the 2nd went in it was game over as Bournemouth could afford to pick them off at will.

Hopefully barnsley can be just as annoying to Bournemouth in the fri evening game as they were to us. Interesting fixture with Bournemouth loosing at home midweek they won't want to drop more points.

A qpr and Rotherham equaliser would be nice..

Such a crazy division, PNE have been utterly hapless recently and are winning at Bournemouth. Also barnsley winning at Brum, I don't think we appreciate what a good result it was at the weekend because it was only 'lowly' Barsnley

I remember being in the away end for the Bolton game in 08 i think (Jason Roberts deflected winner). Someone near us was giving Roberts all kinds of abuse when he came on (he wasn't the only one either). He ended up apologising to every one at the end when Roberts scored the winner creating wild celebrations

Shame Norwich didn't drop points against the bottom dwellers. Really exciting game vs Reading to come, they've been really shaky the last couple games despite winning so will be interesting to see if we can best them.

Ouch for Brentford. You get feeling that they really needed to go up last season when they had the chance (a bit like Shrewsbury when we were in league 1). Right footed left backs is up there along with agents, SEM etc of things I don't like in football. I would stay away for that reason alone, which might sound a little crazy, but I feel that it narrows you up and you loose balance.

A couple of Norwegians have said that he wouldn't be a good signing, but surely would be a marked upgrade on Bell? Full international has played the top division in France and Italy, full international with 30 caps. Bell looked out of place in league 1 at times. Plus it is a free xfer and turned 29 couple months ago so should be in the peak of his career?

Considering the conditions and the fact we have come up against a good/ well organised side, take the point and move on-probably not a game to overtly analyse. I know it is only first day of the season, but the kipre situation does seem a tad strange. 3 centre backs played and hes not in the match day squad. Absolutely battered today and barely had the quality to get out of the championship. As many of us said at the time they need to be aiming a little higher than lower midtable champ defenders to progress.. just seems an all round strange signing to me. Anyway moving on, rumours of a CB, which is great but the massive and immediate prority is a LB. We should be under self imposed embargo until one is signed.
