  1. They pick things up quickly don't they? We don't like TM either and would probably loose against Colo Colo.
  2. I was looking at his bio the other day and the interesting part is that he's only just turned 16 in the close season. So we're talking about a guy who 3 months ago was just 15!
  3. Or just stop messing around and get yourself vaccinated then there is no issue
  4. We need a strong, pacey proper goal scoring striker though the middle. Not another winger ffs. Especially not on loan.
  5. Did Chapman turn up in ripped jeans & have a 1 night stand with TM daughter and then not call her back or something?!
  6. Bugger, was hoping the injury would put paid to that. Complete was of time, how many wingers does a manager who doesn't play wingers need?!
  7. Not fussed about missing out on Lowe. Hopefully miss out on the Brighton winger too, a completely unnecessary signing. The young, powerful pacey left back/mid from Lincoln is exactly the kind of player we should be going for. Good age too. Now we just need a striker that fits the same criteria!
  8. I find all this talk about Keane bizarre. Atrocious manager who has been sacked from his last couple of jobs and left those sides in an utter state. Hasn't managed a football club in over a decade..
  9. Top 3 as they stand look strong, especially fulham and wba. Hard to look past them already. Wba scabbed a 94th min winner tonight.
  10. No surprises there. We should have a game tonight to give the young players some more first team football. But oh no not TM, plays a strong team and gets himself knocked out the pleb.
  11. I'm not sure if this is exactly the signing we need, considering what the squad already has. However it's a plus he is left footed, provides some balance against our other wide players.
  12. Kaka is 1.86m, the Ronaldo, Bergkamp both 6 ft, I'm sure youd find a teams worth.
  13. Honestly it's like groundhog day reading the claptrap that TM comes up with in these LET articles. It's been 2 weeks since Armstrong has been sold, there is an abundance of striking talent out there that is the right age, with pace and can finish. We need to get on with it.
  14. You wouldn't fly from Newcastle to Manchester to get to blackburn would you? Gotta be a little further afield surely?
  15. Sheff U have a similar feel to Huddersfield from a couple of years back. Went up the the prem with huge momentum and carried that form on and surprised alot of teams first season up. Teams were wise to them 2nd season and so got relegated by a distance with confidence shot and then go into a new season. Despite the money spent, I just don't see where the goals are going to come from this year. Brewster has been an almighty flop, Liverpool and done a magnificent job of flogging off their excess youngsters for often ridiculous prices.
  16. No more needs to be said except scumbag of the highest order
  17. Hmm agree, it might be a case of other clubs fighting for 2nd/play off spot
  18. I thought that was basically cosmetic and everything would run as before. Evidently not lol
  19. Why isn't it available on our ifollow?
  20. This is really gutting for me. I live in Nz, the games are middle of the night and I've young kids so can't be up for 2 hours in the night. The 10 mon extended highlights are perfect. I watched the extended highlights from Swanseas end last week. Disappointing if this is going to be the case!
  21. Surely this must be the earliest stage ever for a season that no teams have maximum points. Just 2 games in and 4 points in the benchmark. Just goes to show what a competitive division it is and how the right investment and quality in the right position (with the right manager) can get you promoted. We of course have neither.
  22. Think it is important that there isn't too much revisionism going on here. What do they say about childbirth? There is an inbuilt part of a women's brain that tries to make her forget just how horrific childbirth was so that she goes back and does it again. Souness was a fantastic manager for 3 seasons with us. A born winner who bought and sold well, assembled a great team and was tactically very asute. I was at the fulham for the first game (was it the first game, maybe that's just selective memory) the 2-2 draw. And standing on that open terrace behind the goal, such renewed enthusiasm amongst our supporters. However there is no doubt that it went seriously wrong in that 4th season. We were very lucky not to have gone down and he should have been fired well before Newcastle came in. And I remember what our fans were saying. I remember the frustration and I remember the forum. I feel that maybe others don't. Or it has been dimmed over time.. JW must have thought all his Christmases had come at once, instead of us paying him compo, we rec'd compo for Souness going. It also got him out of jail cos it was a decision that should have been made months previous. Like I said remember the good times, but don't gloss over the final 15 months which were horrific. He also left us with a pretty shite squad, with just Stead and dickov as our senior strikers!
  23. I think there is alot to like and alot we can learn from. However the academy side of things makes me really uncomfortable. Would hate to see us go that route. The funny thing about it is, the fundamental difference is the manager. Enthusiastic, passionate and demanding. The opposite of TM. So much could be rectified by a simple change of manager..
