  1. They were only allocated 6,500 tickets according to their website. Arse is gona be a poor crowd cos its cat A+ prices, villa is on tv and sunderland is on a week day. Whereas wigan have l'pool and manure in the next 2. Still back us to pull it out the bag!
  2. According to some guy on the official site, there was 800 sold by tues evening. Obviously with 5 days of sales, that manu win and the fact its pay on the day (which im doing) should see a travelling support of 1,500ish
  3. Well well well, what can i add that hasnt been said already. Another absolutly fantastic day in the history of this proud famous club. Manure came to Ewood to face a Blackburn team with just 1 available striker who had been picked up on a free transfer in the summer. For the opposition, by the end of the night they had some £60m worth of talent in saha, rooney and horse. The game started off quite slowly imo and i also thought the atmosphere was a bit subdued from the bbe. However, Ronaldo's quite farcical free kick decision soon woke the Blackburn end up and i got this familiar sinking feeling that the ref would rob us. As it happens, by allowing Saha's goal to stand shortly after Bentleys goal, he did try his best but we still won. Oh and for the first goal, what a free kick from mgp, look at the shot from the behind goal view, superb curl on the ball. After saha, Bentley again put us in the lead from a open goal after a assist by the legend that is Rio who had a pathetic match. After praying that we would get into half time at 2-1, it got even better as we got a clear pen. I was nervous bout the pen till i saw who was taking it, Neill would never miss! As for the 2nd half, we set off like a house on fire after Hughes pulled the tatical masterstroke of bringing emo on for tuday, exactly right for the circumstances. Emo put everything into the 2nd half and he typified what hughes has turned us into when after brilliantly setting up Kuqi's chance, his reaction was superb. Instead of standing there looking angry that he missed holding his head in his hands or shouting at Kuqi, he took 1 look and started sprinting back to defend. What a manager! Anyway, back to the match. Bentley finished off a superb hattrick to put the bbe in full party mode. 'are you burnley in disguise' 'who the **** are man united' were screamed out to the Darwen end. The mancs came back into the match, but THANK GOD, we held on. Lord knows how we did to be honest i thought we lost it with 20 mins to go and it being 4-3. Yet we did it and its brilliant Got back to uni in Keele, Staffs at 5.30am still buzzing. Aint it great to be a ROVER
  4. Whats it like gettin away from Old trafford on the trams? Do they put extra trams on that are double-headed and is it a really a popular mode of transport or do people prefer to use their cars? Ive got a train to catch at manchester Oxford road at 23.15. I plan to catch the tram to st peters square and then leg it to the station. Reckon i would make it?
  5. We've spent 7million sure, but how much have we got back, it most be close to the same figure. Stead 1.8m, Bazza 4.5m etc
  6. Flipping brilliant result, im so happy i can hardly stand still here at uni! The most satisfying thing about the whole situation is that the goal shouldnt have even stood anyway, but for once this season the ref has been on our side! Sounds like that we played reasonably well but perhaps the draw woulda been the right result. Couldnt care less bout souness, he's history as far as im concerned. Me thinks he will have 1 last chance at Cheltnam, but as for us, onwards and upwards
  7. Got 3 tickets today, Block E331 Row 37. Is this towards the back, ive never been before?
  8. Ive heard that they were somewhere over the 2,000 mark at the current stage. With the prices being £31 and on sky sports, 4k will be a decent effort
  9. You live by the sword you die by the sword. I wouldnt put any money into fcum persoanlly. If 2,000 tickets is true, thats ok, there is still another week or so of sales.
  10. What i meant Stu, is that as it cant be played on Easter sunday, cos it is easter, it cant be moved to monday, cos we have a game on wed, so i cant really see how it will be changed from the sat. I for 1 really hope that it isnt changed for sky as a sat 3pm kick off against l'pool shud see our highest crowd of the season.
  11. I really hope that the kid doesnt doesnt move from the Saints. I mean we got to see 7 yrs of Duff before he moved on to bigger things, Walcott hasnt even played 6 months for them. He is a wonderful player and i would hope that he would show a sense of loyalty and stay at least to the summer! It would better his development staying there rather than hanging around in a prem teams reserves!
  12. How can it be moved to the sunday, thats easter sunday for crying out loud! Considering we then have b'ham on wed i cant see how they can move it. They will sell out 7,500 anyway.
  13. Rovers crowds against Notlob was 18,100 Wigan crowd against wba was 17,400
  14. Ticket details are announced on the official website. Varing prices depending on who you are: Non S/t or members: Adults £30 Seniors £15 Juniors £16 Members: Adults £27 Seniors £13.50 Juniors £11 S/t holders: Adults £24 Seniors £12 Juniors £11 Allocation 2,100
  15. Im not too bothered that he's gone to Bolton, i think that pne and burnley are more of our local rivals anyway. Its also good that hes gone to a manager like big Sam who is good at getting the best outa players in his situation. If he can resurect his career at notlob, you wont see me complainging that we shuda kept him, as i can only wish good luck to the guy. Thanks for the memories Matt!!
  16. So that they can sell as many tickets as possible and help boost our average crowd and coffers. Wouldnt bet on it tho, last yr when the match was on sky they bought some pathetic amount like 2,200 or summit.
  17. Naff draw to be honest. Long way to go, all prem affair and a difficult tie as well. Esp annoying as the 2 draws around us were nob enders away and colchester away! Oh well , its just its been a long time since we've had a decent away tie against a lower league opponent!
  18. Im a season ticket holder in the bbe lower, but unfortunatly, i was ill from about when i got home from Wigan to this morning, which meant that i missed the pompey game, but watched it on sky. I thought a crowd of 19,600 was excellent, sky said pomp had around 300 travelling fans so that means around 19,500 home fans. Considering we have alot of games on and its a expensive period in general and it was unglamourus opposition, at night on sky, it was a pretty decent effort. The attendance seemed about right on tv, cos there was the usual massive gaps in the JW upper (we really must review the pricing up there), gaps all over the riverside, upper Darwen closed and only a total of about 2,500 in that whole end. I rang up y'sday to secure my season ticket seat for the semi and as someone else mentioned it was the first time ive had to queue since the burnley cup tie! Cmon Rovers
  19. Was a the match y'day and was of course absoutly delighted with the performance and scoreline against Wigan. However, i would like to comment on something that has been raised on the official board. I was sitting in the right hand third of the away end and on the official board those sitting near to the stand to our left said that the home fans sang 'town full of pakis'. I thought they were singing 'town full of smack heads', but as i mentioned i was on the other side of the stand. Can anybody confirm what was sung?
  20. If lawro's predictions had been all right, we would be bottom of the league with 7 points if you include the sunderland game. Wigan would be the place in front on goal diff, or so ive heard.
  21. When are away ticket details gonna be announced for the away leg? Its been over a week since the match and draw and united have had home details up for a fews days now. Come on Rovers!
  22. Some of you Rovers fans who live in Blackburn need to grow up and stop moaning. I met somone y'sday, who had woken up a 6am on wed mourning in Southamton where hes from, taken the coach to London, waited 3 hours in the cold for a 6 hour coach journey from London to Blackburn. Then obviously find out that the match is off, but the return coach is an overnight 1 to London leaving at 22.25 from Blackburn. It arrives in London at 6am where he had to get another coach to Southamton and he was due to get home to his house at around 10am. He had work an hour later. Thats the kinda dedication that more locals need to show! I heard from a Sunderland fan i met that they had over 4,000 fans travelling down and it would have been a crowd around the 24k+ mark. Crying shame but the weather mostly (and the club to a small degree as well) should take the blame
  23. On what basis exactly? Two appaling performances (west ham home and boro away) on the right hand side of midfield! Im not sayin Emerton is a world beater, but i think if he is left on the right then Thommo can play in the centre which i think is his best position.
  24. The standard of sarcasim just gets better and better!
