colin will have spent another sleepless night worrying how he will pay his mortgage and feed his family.looking out from his frontroom window at st annes, over the north sea our colin will be in turnmoil.will he spend the next month in st-tropez at his lovely villa,or will he wait by the phone waiting for a call from the job centre. this is colin bloody hendry,a man off great stature-comes from the highlands and is a man off steel, the first few times he played for us we had a hero in the making,he was here when we were nothing and always had ambition, the stalling over the move to citeh,he left in a bad way but returned a hero-i think king kenny did not rate him in the early days,i reckon jack had a lot to do with his return. if there is any footballer who deserves his wedge colin was that man,he will bounce back, until then he can do the half time draw if beamo is still sick

was looking at the gates in the championship and 6 or 7 had better gates than us,we have to do something about our poor gates, what i do not know but in the end the poor gates will cost us players, manager or even premiership survival -

i've not enjoyed a game at ewood for years, this was total pro zone football at it's best.to say we had to re-adjust our defence not once but twice speaks volume's for the manager. tugay was outstanding,he can do a ray wilkins play for years more- i have been dismayed season after season when the club has renewed his contract, but he has turned the clock back to our first year back in the premier and showed us all how good he is.i honestly think he has become fitter and does not tire anymore, his passing has always been fantastic, but apart from the villa away goal-how many have gone astray, another pro-zone sucsess. niell has been reading the ac milan rumours, because he was immense, not only at lb,rb and centre back,he has at least one good chance a match-if he starts finishing the 10 million move to the san siro may become reality. zurab the asylum seeker is henning berg the second, his reading off the game is outstanding, please please please start winning rangers. todd has learnt his lesson, back to being the ball winning centre half we all love. friedal showed why he is still good enough to be no1 at ewood,he saved us many points over the years and maybe this season he is letting his superb standard's slip but will we find better? emerton needs to be dropped more often, after every bad game he should be dropped, not given another chance because since his little spell on the bench he has returned to form. now to bellamy,he has never been a favourite off mine but this guy is truly top class, his deft touches- continously running the line -and one chance has usually meant a goal. the rest played well, dickov was good, took his goal well,so was mgp,and read was back to his best, even his trapped balls turned into good passes. friedal 9 neill 8 zurab9 todd8 gray6 emerton 8+ tugay9+ read7 mgp7 bellars 8 dickov 8 subs axe 6 -

watched the game last night and even knowing the score,i thought it was a great game.we more than matched chelski with our passing and possesion the difference in my eyes was the forwards. until we have a partner for bellars we will struggle against top notch teams,in my earlier post i said both goalers made a mistake and both teams had a penny.both penalty's were soft with chelski's being the softer off the 2.the problem with all our play we did not make many clear cut scoring oppurtunites. i said earlier the difference was the benches, too true why was bentley left on the bench,i thought his best game in blue and white was at old trafford.the asylum seeker had a fantastic game, will we be able to buy him from rangers as big eck seems to be on his way out,and reading a piece in the daily record zura loves rangers. the free kick brad let in was terrible,as was the 1st goal when he pulled gray back to the post, but he saves us more point's than he loses us -

only listened on the radio will watch the whole match later, but i think the main difference between the teams was the bench, chelski's bench would be starter's in all but a few premier teams whilst ours would be lucky to play in the championship. both goalie's made a howler and each teams scored a penalty, seemed we made a mistake for the 1st,not clearing our lines properly, whilst the 4th was a bad deflection.if lady luck favoured us we may have had a draw, but hardly any team will get a point at stamford bridge. how we can complian about ref's when 1 gave us a very dodgy pen last week, and the sour grapes about chelski having money, remenber jack started this money ball rolling -

thought i'd posted on this topic but obviously not, this is my 5th decade off following the blues. sixties the back end remenber going down with all the greaser's scrapping on the blackburn end. seventies a brilliant decade to be a roverite, promotion under gordon lee in our centenary year, the best ever ewood game 5-2 plymouth. eighties i call these the nearly years, how many times did we miss out on promotion to the promised land, from kendall-saxton - mackay. nineties i died and went to heaven, uncle jack appeared so did king kenny, big al and a premiership title. what do you call the 00,the naughties? well the death off uncle jack changed our fortunes again, but his last legacy mr souness put this club back on track, and sparky continues the great work -

just looked at our team at stamford bridge last season friedal neill matteo short gray emerton fergie flitcroft reid djorkaeff dickov we took a right stuffing that day, just shows how far the hughes revolution has come.still 5 off that days team could figure today, and 3 off the back 5 suprisingly none off the midfield could start,i had forgot that djorkaeff ever played for us -

a real tough call this game, losing the admiral was a blow and zura did not look too clever as he hobbled off on tuesday.two consecutive games against the top 2,2 points would be great but a win and a loss gives more point's.chelski have drawn there last 2 games,is this a dip in form?double figure odds on the rovers to win. chelski 1 v 0 rovers attendance 43,976 -

sat in the blackburn end back row for the first time in years, must say i really enjoyed it,i know it was a cup game and a lot off chair jumpers but the blackburn end support seems to have changed from being 90% male,to a 50/50 cut off male/children and women. as for the game i thought we cruised it,just knowing bellamy was on the bench ready to bounce was enough comfort to put up with a 0-0 score at half time.if we are in mid -table and still in the carling cup come the transfer window surely the club could afford another striker to partner bellers. it took leeds 81 mins for there 1st shot on goal, they were poor but have promotion as there aim,we have to look at this cup as very winnable and a improvement on last years league position will do for me. -
