  1. I have it as: Arsenal - 69 Spurs - 63 ROVERS - 62 Bolton - 59 Wigan - 59
  2. I never expected Bolton to fall apart like they have. I now have us finishing above them and getting 6th place
  3. If I had the money, I would bet a fair bit of that we won't get 6th.
  4. Thank god we got the draw. However, I think the damage has been done; we won't get 6th now.
  5. Lose and I think we could just scrape sixth, but we will be out of the race for 5th. However, if we do lose, the pressure really, really is on us to perform. I think this is our biggest remaining game.
  6. My god, who is that tit commentating the birmingham - Chelsea match on MOTD?!
  7. I just don't understand the need. Oh come on, get over yourself. If we're talking about liberty, I value my own right to watch a football match without the disgusting woft of smoke being blown in my face, or being able to get a drink at half time without getting a head ache and feeling faint from all the smoke. It's not as if you can't smoke, just not in public places. When our own personal liberties are actually taken from us, then I won't be one to stand by and watch.
  8. Is Camara fit for this one? I can see his pace being a real problem form our defence...
  9. Last two or three seasons he has been average / poor. This season he has been absolutely superb. I'd give him three more years.
  10. My friend has an ipod and a story he told me was very impressive in regards to Apple's customer services. There was some sort of problem with the battery, which i hear is quite common. They told my friend to send off his ipod and that he would be given a new one. Somewhat reulctantly, he sent it off and within 3 days he weas sent a brand new one. That might not sound that impressive if it were a new ipod, but this was after about 5 months of usage! Pretty impressive I say!
  11. I'm a little surprised that Everton, a club harbouring Euopean ambitions would be after Matteo. He did ok for us, but was never more than a squad player. Maybe Moyes has the same in mind. He is fairly solid at the back, but not of premiership standard IMO and certainly poses no attacking threat whatsoever from the full back position.
  12. Agreed. Before we beat 'boro and Bolton lost to them, I had Bolton comfortably in front. Now I am not so sure. I still think they'll finish above us, but it will be mighty close.
  13. I agree with that, most of all with your assessment of Andy Gray and Charlie Nicholas.
  14. I agree, people are asking way too much of the team. There is no way we will get 4th place. In fact, I think we'll struggle to get 6th. We will not get 14 points from our last 7 games!
  15. Recently I have seen Garth Crookes on the bbc and I have to say he has been spot on and not at all biased.
  16. Andy Townsend. Learn to speak English and then maybe you would be a good commentator.
  17. If Pearce had a little more experience he would be my first choice. I think he will end up our next manager. I also agree that Sam Allardyce is not good enough for England. Neither is Curbishly.
  18. Although it pains me to say, I think Diouf is a very good player. I would NEVER have him at this club though, I hate the guy!
  19. Sorry, but wasn't Podolski being tracked by top clubs from all over Europe? Chelsea springs to mind... Janker be an ideal purchase. But again, I should imagine he is on large wages.
  20. I agree with Oklahoma - Kovacevic and Nihat from Sociedad would be great! Not sure what their wages are like, mind.
  21. Yeah, Duff looked utterly miserable when he kissed the Chelsea badge and celebrated in hysterics when Chelsea beat us...
  22. I'm not sure if I've missed something here, but I don't think anybody has suggested selling Bellamy and Nelsen and probabaly even MGP. Personally, I think MGP could be replaced, maybe even for free with Peter, and we would still have real money to play with in the transfer market. Imagine what we could do with, say, 8 million... However, I agree that he is a fans favourite, and his exit could cause real disillusion. He is also extremely influential, and by leaving could upset the balance of a winning team. As for Bellamy and Nelsen. Well they are probably our best and most influential players. Bellamy on his own I wouldn't sell for 20 million and I don't think any offer for Nelsen would be large enough.
  23. Just for the record, I am purely speculating. I don't think the club would sell Pedersen, unless a huge fee were involved, and I don't expect a club to offer big money for him.
  24. I certainly wouldn't agree with the first line of your post.
  25. Thing is Laurence, I'm not making a comparison with the Duff of this season. My whole point was centered around the respective siuations of selling Duff and, theoretically, selling MGP now. Point taken though. Thing is I do appreciate MGP, and think he is a good player. I'm not advocating his sale, as with Reid, because he is so influential, but if we recieved a huge sum of money, then I'm sure we could use it to push on. With Hughes in charge we are less likely to waste it, and this goes back to my first point.
