That was just by way of illustrating a point USA; you surely didn't think I was seriously suggesting re-signing all or any of them at this stage of the season. Come on I may be getting on a bit but I am not senile (and I have a certificate to prove it . No: the point I was making is that all the players I mentioned which we have let go this season could be relied on to put the effort in, and they have (ironically) all scored goals today. The further point was that we have exactly no chance at all of beating Chelsea with the current team unless they make a supreme effort next week. (same as our chance of getting back the 3 mentioned players to do it for us). Oh! Never mind!

And just to rub it in today: Kuqi scored 2, Jeffers scored 1, Joe Garner scored 1. Whats the chances of getting that lot back for next week? Answer:about the same chance as we have of beating Chelsea. SEASON OVER!!!!

Let's just get one thing crystal clear! My criticism of Benni is NOT based on racism. Anybody that knows me would laugh at that suggestion. I am one who has spent a lifetime campaigning against absolutely any sign or form of racism; not just based on colour of skin either. I have been involved at the sharp end for nearly 20 years here in Scotland to stop anti- English racism. I absolutely hate and detest any form of racism whenever and wherever it is found. Right now we have got that out of the way, let's get back to Benni. Yes I have criticised him recently; but only for ONE reason: his ATTITUDE! Nothing to do with his skill as a footballer which I admire greatly, also his goals; very good indeed! The one thing that I cant stand in ANY footballer is an attitude that says: "I am so good that I don't need to work on the pitch. Let the others do the work and I will just score the odd brilliant goal and everyone will love me" And then after MH dropped him for the Arsenal cup match at Ewood his attitude in coming off the bench and scoring within a few touches after coming on just to show everybody that he can "do it any time he likes" then just to rub it in deliberately running off the field and going back to sit on the subs bench as if to say to MH "how dare you drop ME! Don't you know who I am?" No, I am very sorry to say it but if I were the manager Benni would have had the riot act read to him and told that if he did anything like that again his feet would not touch the grass of Ewood Park again until he aplogised and undertook to get down to some proper footballing. The very last thing I want is to see Benni leave Rovers; even at a silly money figure. I want him here playing his very best at all times for the Rovers. Just like he said he was going to do when he arrived!

Don't know which match you were watching Theno, but for me Dunn had probably his best game since returning to the fold. Whereas Benni who is reputedly interested in a move to OT (must love RFW more than MH) was virtually invisible for the entire match apart from his admittedly excellent 1 sec contribution in the build up to the Rovers goal.

Try and look on the bright side folks. The way Benni played today at OT (where he has delusions of being as a player next season) they will now have lost all interest in signing him; assuming they ever had any!

Oh no he can't!! As good as the job he has done so far goes, he is by no means finished here yet. The present squad that MH has built is very good, but it still needs a couple of tweaks. Then we could be playing in the CL instead of the EUAFA Cup. Plus winning some trophy on a regular basis could become a reality. And who knows if we then attract a benevolent type of super rich investor we COULD even get back to seriously challenging for the Prem Title. (oh happy dreams).

Did you finalise them before trying to play in another player? Until they are finalised they will only play in the machine they were recorded in. The other possibility that would give you that problem is if you have formated your disk in the VR mode; to be able to play back in any DVD player or PC-DVD slot you must format in Video Mode. However this should not apply to DVD-R disks as they do not need formatting!

I have just finished downloading the v.7.0.1. patch and not knowing where to save it to, I used the path D:\ Prog Files\Sport Interactive\Football manager 2007\ data\downloads where "downloads" is a new folder I created to put the downloaded file 463.exe into. I then ran my virus scan over the downloaded 463.exe, and that is as far as I have got. What do I do now to get the patch into the game and active? I have this horrible feeling that I have made it hard work for myself, but didn't know what else to do. Somebody please help!

I have just bought my first version of FM2007 and it is at v.7.0.0 out of the box. I have searched for Downloads and it is indicating v.7.0.1. available for downloading. Does this one contain any essential fixes, or useful additions? Also is it advisable to download it now, or wait until I have got into the game and know what I am doing a bit more?

Better idea. Why don't we just stump up the necessary, and get Bellers back this summer to play along with Benni next season. Bellers to do the creating and Benni to do the finishing. Fantastic! And they could also swap roles as it suited and Rovers would have one of the most potent strike forces in the Prem. Oh, and incidentally I seem to remember something about Benni being out of favour at Porto for being a lazy player, and the manager after Mourinho refusing to pick him. Hence Benni's fall-out with Porto. If I was MH I would tell Benni that if he wants to play in the semi against Chelski (and be able to impress Morinho) he had better start right now trying to impress me!! and keep on doing it or he is outski!!
