  1. I think most of us had already worked that one out, but thanks for confirming it Flopsy.
  2. What a great idea! Thanks for explaining that Paul. Errrmm... Just one teeny little problem arising at the end of your first paragraph. If all those who can't trace their ancestry to King Harald are sterilised the population of Blackburn and indeed Lancashire will dwindle so low in a couple of generations that there will be nobody left buy a ST; other than Theno of course!
  3. So what's your solution Phil? (This should be good.....)
  4. Well Theno, don't forget that the word"catholic" means "universal" Steady on Theno; I am already a day behind as it stands!
  5. Oh Dear!! What on EARTH is he on about now?
  6. I think you are right on both counts there WSR. Personally I would rate Henchoz as about on a par with Todd but both of them behind the Admiral, Ooijer, and Zurab (in that order) and with Matteo bringing up the rear (assuming Neil goes). P.S. Aren't we well-off for CB's!
  7. Oh I think you have got that wrong Joey; more like 99.9%!
  8. We all have to say it as we see it; you wouldn't want it any other way would you?
  9. Fair comment Joey - I hold my hand up. I do have this tendency to believe everything I read and to take things at face value. Some call it naivety; I prefer to think it is because I don't set out to deceive people myself and still have this belief from my earlier years that is how things really are. I don't think I can change to being cynical at my age. P.S. Who is Sammy Winward?
  10. Well that answers my previous question as to has he learn't anything from his isolation in deepest Brum! Quite obviously not! Conclusion has to be: Don't touch him with a barge pole!
  11. Nice to see that good old fashioned chivalry is still alive and well!
  12. Well obviously in that case there would be no need to change anything, but is it likely that he is not bound for Anfield? I would not like to wager any more than tuppence on it. How much would you risk Theno? Oh and just to clear up any possible misunderstanding about why I am suggesting dropping Lucas for the Liverpool game. It has absolutely nothing to do with suspecting his loyalty or his commitment at any point prior to the Liverpool match. It is simply a pragmatic solution to what would inevitably be a conflict in the minds of not only Lucas Neil himself but of all who witnessed the game should he take part in it. The only sensible way to avoid this is to drop him for this match only. Then to carry on as normal and let things take their own course.
  13. For the last time........NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you hear that Theno? (smiling sweetly).
  14. There is a very simple solution to this quandary. Don't play Lucas Neil against Liverpool; problem solved!
  15. Whether or not he is captain against Liverpool on the 26th, there is one thing for certain; you would get very long odds if you were to bet on him breaking another Liverpool player's leg!
  16. Yes that IS exactly what it will be if Rovers take the risk of signing Dunn back and then he lets the club and himself down by not accepting IN FULL the responsibilities of a professional footballer. Namely the requirement to keep himself fully fit in so far as it is in his power to do so at ALL times, and which obviously includes his leisure time activities as well as his training and match time activities. This is something that in his career so far it seems he is quite incapable of doing. In short his lifestyle so far has been more that of a good-time playboy than that of a dedicated professional footballer.
  17. And we all hope you give them a right good seeing to (as they say in Lancs). In other words give 'em a good stuffing, and when you've done that just go on and score another one and tell them that's from us. They will really appreciate that!
  18. Fantastic news that Nelsen is on the way back, and this very fact should have a "boosting" effect on the existing CB's who will not want to lose their places. They now know that they too are on trial for the next few weeks. Let's hope it shows!
  19. Make that "could do" and I will then agree with you.
  20. You must have a different TV channel to mine. I watched it on Sky Footie First, and on my screen Nonda came on for the 2nd half and played the best he has ever done in Rovers colours up to now. His work rate and passing were quite good, and I thought he had a hugely improved game showing some interest and commitment for a change.
  21. Is it just possible that (however unlikely - perish the thought) they were drunk and disorderly?
  22. And we certainly know how that feels Handbags! Anyway not to worry; your lot will survive and find their own level in the Prem same as we have done and Wigan as well. Good luck.
  23. You forgot to add the 500+ runs Ozzie
  24. Yes I know -sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, and it is definitely not a mode I would normally resort to. I apologise for stooping so low. However, the real point I wanted to make was that I believe that the Dunn we will get back from Brum will bear no resemblance at all to the Dunn we sold to them. He is so injury prone as to be virtually useless, overweight and unfit, and several years older than the youth you describe playing for the England U21's. In other words not worth having even as a gift. However nothing would make me happier than to be proved completely wrong, sadly I fear it won't happen, and the Brummie porn merchants will not stop laughing for about 6 months.
  25. Hmmm....... You do realise that by invoking that particular statistic you have ensured that we will lose on aggregate to Leverkusen and go out of the EUFA Cup.
