  1. Anyone seen Norbit yet ???? I think we have this years 'Gigli' already.
  2. I watched it, and it was very interesting, especially the points about Thatcher wanting to use this argument to take on the miners, and how other points of view have been squashed by the anti-carbon groups. The thing is, few of us are Professors in the relevent fields of science, and we need things explained in simple terms because of this. We get confused, as ther are many different theories about our warming climate, some of which have been funded by people or organisations with vested interests. Therefore it ends up being about which 'side' you support due to your political views, gut feeling etc. For example, many people hate Jeremy Clarkson, and see him as an irresponsible oaf who encourages a bad view on the environment, whilst some see him as a champion of libertarian values in the face of uncertain scientific principles.
  3. Hmm, true. But who knows, he may have a career like Tugay and be great until he's 50.
  4. With Australia buggering off to the AFC, the Kiwis will probably win Oceania's World Cup qualifiers and have a shot at getting into the tournament. Hope this doesn't happen, as Nelsen will draw attention to himself if he plays well !
  5. Might pop down this shop in Bridlington to see if they have any gameboy games today. It looks a good little shop as it has sun bleached NES and Mega Drive boxes. They might even have that golf game that was fantastic, even if I was sh_t at it. On a related topic, if you are heading towards the far East, go on Singapore Airlines. They are good, and they have Gameboy Colour games you can play on the little screen in the back of the chairs.
  6. Don't even think it was a couple of weeks with Unsworth. Wasn't it a matter of days?! Sounds like there may be a bargain or two from the Whammers. Anyone for Ashton for example? Or maybe a loan for Reo-Coker (so we can find out if he is an egotistical git or not)?
  7. After seeing the faces of the players once the final whistle went, West Ham have been destroyed tonight. They now know they're down. It was a crap game until it went 3-2, as both teams sttled for a draw. Then it went crazy. Oh, and the volvo drivers looked pretty poor despite winning.
  8. Don't think that was me......................I hope.
  9. He he he. It is funny how Wham have cocked up, and now they might even have points deduced (look to about half way down). I don't mind West ham, just the crap Lucash made up about leaving.
  10. Just found out that my 17 year old gameboy still works! Great. It is one of the old, grey bricks and I'm chuffed. In fact it is so old it is yellowing slightly round the corners. And it has a USB 2.0 connection point which I have never noticed before.
  11. I'm guessing that was the Top Gear road trip where they customise their cars. Just shows how thick and humourless they are down ther, the goat raping racists.
  12. Just added to that picture thread, and started one off.
  13. I think Arctic Monkeys are overrated. They're OK, but by no means the bestest band ever. I think Ded Ringers were right when they pretended that the vocals were done by George Formby. As for Joss Stone............I would.
  14. I think he was owned by that bloke who tried to buy West Ham, but lost out to the Iclandic egghead. Kai Joobacken or whatever his name is owns an agency called CSI something who owned Mascapone and Tevez's arses.
  15. I'm just lobbing some CDs onto my Mp3: at the mo, the computer is doing Push The Button by the Chemical Brothers. Got Queen's Greatest Hits II, Faith No More-Angel Dust, Ride the Lightening by Metallica and a few more to do. King Prawn are on my machine now, so I can feel likeI' an 18 year old in Esquires again.
  16. Maybe they objected to the Al Jolson theme to the Spanish squad's Christmas party . we do need a Brian Clough tye of guy to whip the egos into order, but have a clue in the more cademic side of the game. Big fat Sam should have been the manager if it had to be an Englishman. If not, then Hiddink, Lippi, Scolari or maybe even Moanrinho if he was affordable. The FA cocked up big time, but then again, what do you expect from a bunch of guys who are either as hollow as New Labour, or some blazer wearing amateur nobody.
  17. That wuld be funny if true. Barton has gone up in my estimation after his comments. About time someone called the emporer an exhibitionist.
  18. As an Englishman, I hope we don't qualify. Then McClaren will leave, and we can get a real manager who has achieved something. Or Jurgen Klinsmann!
  19. Tossers have dumped all the reviews. Spoilsports. But let's all write reviews for this masterpiece instead. Or this fine piece of cinema
  20. Local people taking on the Romanov empire? You're not wrong FifeRover I doubt we'll see some billionaire from wherever trying to buy us. We are simply too small and not glamourous enough to interest them. Man Citeh, the Barcodes and maybe Arsenal are next.
  21. Just as long as the proposed buyout of Hearts doesn't lead to Mr. Romanov buying us........................ I think we might be in a reasonable position in 5 years time. The billionaires may get bored or start to spend less money, and a few clubs may end up in trouble.
