Ironically, he had no problems campaigning Stewart Downing for Englands WC troops - AND managed to give him a few minutes on the pitch. -

Forgot all about Turbonegro both on the "best intro" and "best album" discussion. Not sure how big they've become in the UK, they are legends in Norway and has had major success all over Europe, especially in Germany. Some clips on youtube, poor sound though. Best intro for me has to be either Age of Pamparius or Prince of the Rodeo, or really any other song with Turbonegro's Knut "Euroboy" Schreiner on guitar. Radagast and other selfclaimed (?) rockers, you should really check this out if you haven't already. (doesn't sentences like that put you off though? annoying innit? ) -

Roberts - an improved Shefki Kuqi? -
Well, left back spot has been our achilles heel for quite some time. Treacy and Peter on the wings now, and Kuqi up front alongside Jeffers. Bound for goals this Talk about "bound for goals", Matteo has just taken Todd's place in the heart of the defence.

Gray has been replaced by McEveley, Gallagher by Jeffers - and now Bentley and Savage comes off for Douglas and maestro Tugay.

Bad move by Duffer, probably also a bad move by Newcastle. Not because I think Duffer is a lost cause, but because the buyer is Newcastle - they pay too much, both salary and transferwise. They will never win anything with the current men in charge, and I like it. Good luck Duffer, but we will end above Newcastle next season! -

With Capello in charge, Real Madrid will be a major force again next season. Emerson is a defensively solid midfielder, in-form one of the most complete players there is, and Cannavaro can be their Puyol in the heart of the defence, perhaps alongside Ramos. I don't really think United standed much of a chance even if they tried, mate, the EPL are not first choice for a lot of the Italian-based players - I'm actually surprised that they left Serie A in the first place. (but since Inter and Roma are the only real choices for these big stars, they were kind of forced to for several reasons, I guess.) -

After seeing Jack White's new band the Raconteurs in Denmark recently, I've downloaded their album, and I must say I am impressed. The White Stripes is a fascinating band in many ways, but I've grown tired of them (plus their last cd.. sorry!) and this is a nice way to enjoy the genius White without having to listen to that minimalistic White Stripes sound everytime. By the way, Raconteurs did a fantastic Bowie cover at the Roskilde festival, but now I can't remember what song. Argggh! Oh, and I agree with most of the albums mentioned above. Can't go wrong with 'Ten', 'OK Computer', 'The Bends' and the Beatles really. "What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?" -

Good news on Derbyshire. If he can get circa 10 goals this season he'll prove himself as a very very good player for us indeed. -

Because they fixed their economical problems and won promotion? If that's what you find most "annoying" with this football tragedy, I would ask you to check out Spanish clubs' economy the last ten years. -

Zambrotta also wants to stay in Italy, according to reports. Milan might be his destination.. don't think many of the players will join the EPL, except Vieira. -

Sorry, forgot about Galliani. My point was that the goal is not to destroy the clubs, neither should it be. I can see why people on here wants maximum punishment, but you have to punish for the crimes made (or more importantly; crimes proven!) and punish the right people in the right way. £20m loss and obviously two tough seasons for fans, players and management is not a lenient decision, with Galliani gone too. -

Why should it? The evidence is against a member of the Milan staff, not the whole club with players, manager and president, some of you needs to get things into perspective here. -

Feel free to start doing articles like that on DJ Campbell as "one tenth of Emile Heskey's price" and "recently joined from Ryman league", but fact is he was signed for 600k at a time when Birmingham struggled against relegation, to save them. He didn't perform at all, and is in no way a bargain by Steve Bruce. -

Always prepared to help people with language problems, English is a complex and almost mystical language, and it can sometimes be very difficult to fully understand. Please, do not hesitate to ask should there be more problems, it is after all what I am here for. -

Should Dunn come home? Yes! Will Dunn come home? No! I haven't seen any evidence from Hughes or Rovers sources to suggest he is. There you are, fife! PS: Don't mind us, pick, we're just pedants with little else to do -

Well, you can't really blame them for that now can you? They are, after all, punishing themselves in a way. Until the verdict is public, there's no need to criticise! -

Those chances are very very slim, Paperazi. I don't know you, or where you are from, but I'm guessing you're not an Italian? (not the point, I just wonder with your name and all..) Juventus will get relegated, I am as sure as you can be without actually knowing of that. Serie B or Serie C (1,2,3?) is the question, and of course also points deduction and fines are possible. As for the three other clubs, I wouldn't be surprised to see them stay in the Serie A (without European participation - perhaps Fiorentina can get a UEfA place), since the cases against them are far less serious than Moggi and Juve's case. As for the politicians and statements, it's not worth discussing - this is being used for everything it's worth. "We protect our heroes" and so on.. My unofficial bet: Juve relegated to Serie C1 or Serie B with point deduction (15p?). Fiorentina, Lazio, Milan certainly not further than Serie B, I think Lazio might be punished hardest of the three - relegation looms.. As mentioned earlier, punishment has been dealt out before in Italy, and this time the scenario is brand new - since some of the big men has been removed from central positions. I also expect Juve to keep a lot of good players, and to achieve promotion directly.
