  1. Well now the season is infact over, and Juve has won the Scudetto. Or have they? Fiorentina clinching that last CL spot after Luca Toni's 31th goal for the season, whilst Roma has to settle for 5th. We'll might see Roma in the Champions League next year anyway though, since they're one of the few top clubs NOT involved in this scandal. Hard to predict what will happen now, it will be hard to punish teams with the corruption linking all the way into the Italian football association. Then there's the question, should the club Juventus be punished for the crimes of individuals? I think so yes, Moggi was after all the president, and TWO MONTHS of tapping his phone was enough to dig up all this - what Moggi has achieved the remaining twelve years as president of Juventus.. well, maybe we will know one day. I have my thoughts on Giulliano and Berlusconi in AC Milan aswell, but obviously not a lot of proof to build my accusations on - so I'll let it go for now
  2. Alan: Not sure what to think about that, it doesn't exactly make him Mr.Loyal..
  3. Juve to Serie B.. I think I'm dreaming
  4. He can leave, but only for BRSCN.
  5. Am I hearing Norway? Great news if true, let's hope it's in the sivilized part! (nothing north of Trondheim please ) And obviously not Bergen..
  6. Well, depends what you mean with "scandal".. this is a step in the right direction the way I see it - hopefully they can make some progress in the stands aswell, like they have in England.
  7. Great to see these guys finally get caught, and hopefully this will be the start of a downfall for Juve. Moggi isn't exactly a popular man outside Turin, and as a mildly addicted Roma-supporter I am glad to see the back of him. (interestingly enough, his son was nearly appointed in a high-placed position for Roma, handling transfers.. which would obviously mean Chivu, de Rossi, Mexes and Mancini all closing in on a Juve deal - not going to happen now!) Oh, and they've replaced Berlusconi - now tap his phones next please
  8. Are you willing to do one in May, June and July aswell perhaps Bob Sir? I know we're not playing any matches.. but there's always some rumours to make fun of?
  9. Cunningham released Cunningham, Lazaridis, Sutton, Melchiot, Vaesen and Clapham has been released (or are they just "leaving" as soon as someone makes a bid?) - Vaesen and Melchiot was in the 16 against Notlob. Not updated on their injury status (seriously, who cares?), but I'm a bit surprised with the release of Cunningham - isn't he the type of player they'd want in the Championship? Could he be one of the two - Sutton, Lazaridis and Clapham being three contestants.
  10. Birmingham wants Cameron for £3m? So much for getting rid of big earners, changing profile to match Championship economical standards etc.. Interesting quote in the bottom of the article: So, who's left then?
  11. Liverpool and Spurs! Won't be as extreme as this seasons Big Club With Porn Money of course, but they can still be hated - down there somewhere I fully expect this thread to stay alive, or else there will for sure be a riot against those nineteen year old mods.
  12. It really should. And could you now please put the word "Grabbi" in the nono list of words? Seem to remember the mods winding up a poster (was it the legendary Lofty?) on this board some months back by changing one of his "standard words" into something a tad insulting.
  13. Good inclusion of Aaron Lennon though. And I fully agree with Tris, Darren Bent will be a one-season wonder.
  14. Then again, if Walcott could score just one important goal - not to mention breaking through as one of the tournaments big surprises, Sven would be the Special One for a few months - he can't really get less popular in England anyway
  15. Fair enough, I only know what I've seen of highlights when it comes to Ashton. But Darren Bent hasn't had more than a season in the Prem either, and Walcott hasn't played a bloody match yet! Ashton has a year playing for Norwich btw, so basically he's the more experienced of the three..
  16. SWP has showed why he isn't included all year, hasn't he? Didn't think about the target man tactic at all when I wrote the last post, if having a big man upfront is that important I'd rather give Dean Ashton a call..
  17. I'm excited by this news - I truly believe it's a silly move - but it will make the World Cup a little more interesting (not that it needs it) in my non-English opinion. To be fair, I don't think we'll see Bent score more than ten next season, and with the exception of pace I don't think the world of his overall ability. I might be wrong though, for once. "Pace will be important in the World Cup" - Eriksson Defoe's pretty quick isn't he? Herb - looking forward to seeing Walcott playing with Premiership players for the first time in Germany.
  18. Good luck to him. (can someone please pin this thread, the same question pops up every month or so?!)
  19. Plus McClaren, signing on as a coach after an abysmal World Cup
  20. Nice! I'm sure we can take Upson off their hands on a free, if he's interested in signing a 10k deal or so! As for Dunnie, as Philip has pointed out a few times, let the doctors and Sparky decide! IF he signs, I'd be delighted - Sparky hasn't made any mistakes yet!
  21. How could he sign today? He's under contract with Birmingham isn't he?
  22. Bruce to succeed Ferguson next season anyone ?
  23. It looks okay, we're way off the Kappa from 03 and 04 though. Looking forward to buying the red away shirt, now that looks promising!
  24. Gally on for Sergio Peter, and instantly setting up a great attacking move - with Gray missing the target with his diving header. Gally looked one way and passed the other according to RR..
