To be fair, Damien Johnson isn't that bad, a bit limited but still a decent squadplayer. -

Not after getting Bellers.. but then again, I wouldn't mind us signing Stead for a nominal fee and on a pay-as-you-play contract.. -

Just a hypothetical question, wouldn't it be great if RFW retired / got fired this season? I'm sure Sparky would want to build on from the foundation he's built here, at least for another season or two - and if Manure could get a decent manager to replace Sir Alex now - it could mean the job would be unavailable for another few years.....? -

Roma were easily the better team, only the Aussie goalkeeper kept them in the game. But at least it calls for a backlash against us this weekend.. -
Everton will play the match.
-
Reds want new date With the game a month away, they should really sort this out..
-
Mido wouldn't sign for us, he plays regularly for Spurs (in London!) and is a bit of a brat anyway. Big city boy I'd think, considering the clubs he's played for..
-
Boro (H), Sunderland (A), Wigan (H) and Portsmouth (A) - should at least mean ten points to Rovers, if we're to challenge for that fourth spot imo. Three very tough games, but if we could meet Liverpool with 55-56 points..... and yes, I am actually ignoring the Sunderland-match, they are that poor. Btw, Lee - the league table on rovers.co.uk isn't updated properly is it?

I never enjoy the matches against Boro, they have a few over-the-top players who tend to find their magic against us. Hasselbaink, Viduka, is Steve Vickers still playing? Here's to Boro beating Charlton, before Roma take them to extra time and pens in midweek. Our defending needs to be sorted out, or else Hasselbaink and certainly Yakubu will have a field day from their set pieces. -

What are you implying? -
Wouldn't say that MGP was excellent against Villa, but he was decent imo- his workrate is very underrated, and makes Mickey Gray look like a decent defender. He didn't create all that much, even though the freekick was a clever one. Could've been some goal, anyway. As for McC*nt, the "tackle" on Sav first half was disgraceful. Stamp on the back side of his leg, could easily have ended his season! I have no problem with scrapping and rough tackling, to be fair we have our share of these players, but I can't remember a single tackle like that from a Blackburn player this season. We get stuck in, but we don't go out trying to injure players. Or does anyone have examples? Lucas' tackle on Carragher two seasons ago obviously, but at least the ball was within sight.
-
Not confident for this one tbh, even though it's a must-win for if we're to challenge for Euro spots. 2-1 Rovers. Baros to throw himself to the ground like the filthy dog he is, and Barry to score from the freekick, via a Blackburn player. Then a goal each from our two strikers! You heard it here first. (possibly, haven't read the whole thread!)

Actually, I think it's the other way around. They're sent out on loan to gain experience, whilst Johnson remains a reserve team player for us. (partly due to his unsuccessfull loan period earlier I'm sure) We'll see how Hughes rate them next season, I expect Jemal to leave - Derbyshire to get another loan move (perhaps to a better side, Championship?) and Gally.. well, I'm not sure - he's either ready to challenge for a place in our team - or he'll leave permanently. Only speculation, obviously, but I can't see Gally, his age taken into consideration, going out in another loan spell. It's make or break, whilst the younger Derbyshire has more time to adjust. -

The handball is a poor excuse for poor defending imo. We could, and perhaps should have had a penalty against us when Nelsen handballed. (even though it wasn't his intention at all) Oh well, I'm still proud to be a Rover tonight, we fought well and played some excellent football against a very good side. Would've been a match for Toogs this one, but I must say that especially Bentley filled the gap to some extent. Can't talk enough about the class of Bellamy though, what a fantastic asset he is. Also, Flo-Po showed glimpses of brilliance, even though he lacked some precision with his final pass. Mickey Gray was made a scapegoat, a bit undeserved imo. We didn't defend as a team like we should after Bellers' goal, which isn't acceptable knowing Lennon's pace. I'm also disappointed with the other three's defending on that goal, why isn't anyone picking up Mido's run? All in all, a good match which should've earned us at least one point. Neill with another great performance at right back, please give this man a new contract now! Bring on the cheating Villains! -

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, poorly timed injury to Tugay!! Oh well, let's hope we can get an early goal then. C'mon Rovers! -

Doesn't sound too reassuring though, a surprise addition because of injuries to other players. Let's hope he isn't included too early. -
Agree on the Joe Cole comparison, a difference is that Cole played regularly for West Ham though.

We will have to pay Tromsø about 350k, when MGP has played three more matches in the cup and league. (60 matches) We will also have to pay them 350k more after 90 matches. A friend of Mark Hughes secretary's husband's sister told me this is why he is not playing Tottenham. -
Thank you Mr. Phil, just what I was looking for

Enough said, really. I'm sure if he signs, no one here will be complaining - because he'll be a success! If he doesn't sign, few of us will be complaining - because he's not good enough/fit enough. Simple as that
