    Ipswich’s thinking: Hirst couldn’t hit a barn door at Rovers yet scores fairly regularly there. Gallagher scores every now and again at Rovers so could be the new Pele if he moves on.

    Yep. The no experience mandate is solely on the owners. I’d be stunned if their stance has changed between the summer and now too given we’ve brought in two more kids just days into the window. Happy days eh?

    I used to be excited about signings but I couldn’t give a monkeys about all these youngsters coming in - especially when they’re not even our players. We’re just a glorified kids camp.

    Far from Travis’ biggest fan but the ‘model’ of having a team full of youngsters will get us - if not this season then certainly next.

    Indeed. If the owners wanted to progress then they'd compensate the focus on youth with a few older heads. But they won't. The big question is who is advising them on the 'model'.
