  1. First 66 minutes were the best we've seen under JDT, and for my money the best we've seen from Rovers in many a year. Dominant, rampant, sleek, clever, committed... everything you'd want your team to be. Each and every player giving everything they had. We missed chances but unfortunately when you don't have PL level attackers this tends to happen. A criminal miss from Hedges in particular was a moment where you felt we may come to regret our failure to put the game away. After Leicester scored it became a different game. Their tails went up, the crowd got behind them, our players were suddenly feeling the effort they'd put in take a toll on their bodies and energy levels. Injuries to JRC and Gallagher made things even more difficult. We had no choice but to slow down the tempo, regain our shape, batten down the hatches and fight for our lives. We had to weather a real storm, but somehow we got there. Proud of the entire team tonight. Proud to be a Rovers fan. Not going to say anything negative, just going to enjoy the victory and wonder if, based on those first 66 minutes, we really can believe that promotion is a realistic and attainable possibility. Only downside really was JRC's injury. Really, really hope it's not serious, as it would be a huge loss for us to lose him for a long period now.
  2. That's some statement bringing on Phillips at this stage. JDT must have a lot of faith in the lad. Let's hope it pays off.
  3. We've done the right thing in dialling down the tempo and getting our shape back. Our rampant attacking had left us wide open at the back, and a Premiership team was always going to exploit that eventually, especially as we've failed to take so many chances. Just got to see if we can hold out now. Looking difficult but we can do it. Really need to stop giving away possession though. The lads are looking tired now and mistakes are creeping in.
  4. Got overconfident, pushing way too high up. Going to be a horrible next 25 minutes now.
  5. Cannot remember us being this dominant in... well, I don't even know. Our players are all at 150%. Leicester looking absolutely shellshocked.
  6. JRC off. Hope it's just a precaution.
  7. Honestly can hardly believe what I'm watching. It's like somebody went in on FIFA and put all of our player's stats up to 99.
  8. Undoubtedly our best performance under JDT by a massive margin... possibly our best performance overall in years.
  9. Where has that Sam Gallagher been?
  10. That could be a crucial miss from Hedges. Sigh. Dolan is absolutely brimming with confidence.
  11. Feels like it's really starting to click with JDT now. More of the same next half please!
  12. "We were talking before the game about watching All or Nothing and Arsenal two years into Mikel's [Arteta] reign, he is close to getting the sack, people are wanting him out and it is a disaster," Potter added. "Obviously now things have changed a little bit, but that is just the way it is. You look at Jurgen's [Klopp] situation. He hasn't got the results and all of a sudden people want him out. That is just the nature of football." I find these comments from Potter a little disingenuous. Arteta won an FA Cup in his first six months as Arsenal manager and they've never finished lower than 8th with Arteta in charge. Chelsea meanwhile got knocked out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round when City smashed them 4-0 and are on course to finish a lot lower than 8th based on current form. Can't imagine Arteta had hundreds of millions to spend on players either. In regards to Klopp, do "people" want him out? Most Liverpool fans I've spoken to think he has enough credit in the bank to deserve time in the summer to put it right. Again, disingenuous to compare these scenarios as Klopp has more credit in the bank at Liverpool than Potter is ever likely to have at Chelsea. I find the Arteta comparisons a bit lazy when used in defence of Potter, personally. I don't think the situations are especially comparable. Definitely not comparable as far as Klopp is concerned.
  13. Doesn't necessarily account for the multiple other miserable post-January runs Mowbray embarked on with us and other teams. Think it's something systemic in how he prepares and motivates his teams. The pattern is too consistent for it to be coincidence.
  14. Tbf as far as Burnley being better you could say that for practically every team in the division. They've made this league look like a bit of a joke. Only two losses and 19 points clear of 3rd already, lol. I'd say it puts the other relegated clubs with parachute payments to shame more than us.
  15. Quite rightly too. JDT is working some crazy black magic.
  16. I can remember on FM18 Nyambe having very good physical stats, but quite poor technical stats, and I'd say that's about right. Lad is a great athlete when fit and didn't often lose physical battles, but he also contributed zilch in terms of goals, assists or anything useful from a creative standpoint. He has a skillset which would work in the right system, but I don't think it would suit what JDT is trying to do.
  17. I'll leave it because I think you made a fair point without resorting to personal attacks.
  18. If the baiting continues people will be taking a break. Fair warning.
  19. Somebody literally posted "that'll shut up the haters" when Gallagher scored, lol. Typically hater implies unfair stick.
  20. Don't really follow this logic that a player has one good game in a dozen and suddenly everyone else was wrong about them. It can entirely true that a player has been rubbish but happened to play well in a given game.
  21. Fantastic win. Well done JDT and the team.
  22. Otherwise known as having his usual game.
  23. At least he was in the right position. Small things.
  24. All bets are off and the form table can be thrown out the window when it comes to the playoffs. Ridiculous really that we haven't even managed to get into them once since the 2012 relegation, despite having multiple seasons with goalscorers in the 20+ range. Even worse when you consider during that time the likes of Hull, Cardiff, Burnley, QPR, Wigan, Ipswich, Reading, Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Luton have all finished top six - a lot of them more than once. Just a further indictment of Venky's utterly inept ownership.
