Yeah I don’t think there’s much love lost between them mate. That said, there are people I worked with 30+ years ago that I wouldn’t go out of my way to socialise with either. I think Weller has mellowed a bit in recent years so it’s possible they will at least kiss and make up at some point. I met Rick in Glasgow a few years ago and he didn’t have a bad word to say about PW at all, which was cool.

Rick Buckler, legendary drummer with The Jam, is doing a Q & A session at Darwen Library Theatre on 16th October. He is promoting a couple of books on The Jam that he co-wrote. I'm biased as not only am I a fan but I also wrote a contribution to one of the books. Rick is a great fella and if you are/were into that sort of music it is well worth buying a ticket for.

It wasn’t a dig at your pub friend, it was a general comment on the shite that surrounds both sides of the old firm. Having lived in Glasgow for 25 years and dealt with some of the consequences of the nonsense I can categorically tell my fellow Rovers fans that I am not talking nonsense and there are indeed many dickheads among Rangers support (and Celtic’s). Again, to clarify I wasn’t criticising your establishment, I’ve been in there a couple of times with Rangers supporting friends, but please don’t try and pretend that sectarian bile in glasgow and the west of Scotland is one-sided... Hope you have a fruitful day business-wise but that your team gets dicked ?
