  1. With honorary mentions to Lee, Saxton and Mackay. Without those three there would not have been the platform for Jack, Kenny and Ray to come in and do their stuff.

  19. As someone who played that same role (albeit at a much lower standard of the game) you are totally spot on Tony. Danny Graham is our most important player, evidenced by what has happened while he hasn’t been on the pitch this season.
  20. That was my younger son’s first league game. Not sure the bit about Roeder is correct though, I thought he had either a stroke or a brain aneurism at some point that season but not straight after the game against us.
  21. Two that stand out for me were both in losing causes and both at Ewood. Matt Le Tissier for Southampton in the mid 90s and Shearer for Newcastle in 2002. Le Tiss scored two screamers that day and was majestic all game despite us winning 3-2 (I think!), while in the other game Newcastle went down to ten men very early and were also 2-0 down, before Big Al single-handedly dragged them back into the game with a brace (I think one of them was a milestone goal) before we ran out 5-2 winners.
  22. That's all with the benefit of hindsight though, in both examples, and as far as King goes you were only referring to the FA Cup game as far as I could see from your post? I can't think of too many storming games King had for us. He was quick, yes, but other aspects of his play weren't great.
  23. You could say exactly the same thing about Ben Brereton, funnily enough. He tore Arsenal to pieces for Forest last year.
  24. The Beatles - Come Together
  25. The winning goal, at that!
