I agree. That is the ‘real’ Paul Weller and in almost 50 years it’s the first time I’ve ever heard him be quite so relaxed being interviewed.
For someone with his talent and back catalogue he is a surprisingly humble bloke. He actually reminds me of a certain Kenny Dalglish in that respect.
The rest of the podcast interviews are what I meant as being suitable only for the diehards by the way. I’m not sure there would be great interest in the bloke that played bass on the third Style Council single for example. The Weller finale is exceptional.
Nah, Todd was normally the one crossing the line mate. Hard? Debatable. Fair? Ask Dugarry, Van Persie and worst of all his dad’s mate at Bolton, the coach Phil Brown.
