  1. The Style Council - It Didn't Matter
  2. Bloody hell, you’re still alive lad! 👏🏻👏🏻😂
  3. Anyone comparing the premier league during the Jack Walker era and now needs to give your heads a wobble. It’s not just the goalposts that have been shifted in the 30 years since, it’s just about every aspect of top level English league football. When Rovers won the league you would have been hard pressed at the start of that season to predict who the bottom 6 clubs in the prem would have been. Nowadays it’s fairly obvious. As someone above posted, you do start to wonder what the point is these days. Mid table in the championship is possibly about as good and as entertaining as it’s ever likely to get for a club like the Rovers. In fact any club save for the very top 6 or so richest. It just isn’t healthy.
  4. Amen brother 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
  5. I think he would have already gone to Arsenal by the time of this match?
  6. As my own post says, that’s not how football works through is it? You probably thought Leicester would do similar to us in the FA Cup last season as well no doubt. What must Norwich fans be thinking tonight, they just shipped 6 at Plymouth, and we thought we had a bad day there! Sure, be disappointed and frustrated about today but tomorrow is another day and next week is a different game. PS - teams who are ‘toothless up top” don’t normally score three goals away from home, would you agree? I don’t think that’s what cost us the game today.
  7. That’s not how it works though is it? we are fully capable of beating Leicester, we just need the right team selection and to be at it.
  8. Football is a strange game - Rovers score the next goal and it’s all to play for. Didn’t Ipswich throw away a two goal lead to lose in a recent home game? That will be playing on their minds IF we score next. Yes my glass is half full today…
  9. The Beatles - I Call Your Name
  10. Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Don’t Cry No Tears
  11. I seem to remember two in back-to-back games around Christmas (Sunderland away and Boro at home)?
  12. There are very few 'easy' games in this league. I'm not a fan of looking too far ahead fixtures-wise tbh.
  13. It wasn't. I agree that Rain got a fair bit of airplay and promotion but it wasn't released as a double A record in the way that Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out, Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane and others were.
  14. Telalovic hadn’t been signed at that point though so who knows?
  15. No it genuinely wasn’t - Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane was a double A (whatever happened to them?). The Beatles released quite a few and actually The Jam themselves released three of them. The best Beatles B Side (in my opinion) was ‘Rain’.
  16. I'm not too concerned with them being top in September. If they are top in April and/or May, I would be pretty bothered by that I think.
  17. Penny Lane wasn't a 'B' Side Tyrone.
  18. The Jam - The Butterfly Collector Arguably the greatest 'B' Side of all time.
  19. George Jones - A Good Year For The Roses (Not written by Elvis Costello, as many people think, nor George Jones for that matter!)
  20. Wilson Pickett - Mustang Sally
  21. Bob Dylan - Knockin' On Heaven's Door
  22. Chas and Dave - Rabbit
  23. Simply Red - So Not Over You
  24. Ocean Colour Scene - Golden Gate Bridge
  25. Jason’s football intelligence was immense. He made the best of his talents but also knew how to bring the best out of those around him. Ask King Alan.
