  1. Liverpool had 8 different scorers when they beat Palace 9-0 in 1989, and 15 years earlier actually had 9 different scorers in an 11-0 European win against Strosmgodset. No idea about the subs question but I heavily doubt it.
  2. Paul Weller - Back In the Fire
  3. Are we gonna get to 1000 pages today? Frank Sinatra - I Get a Kick Out Of You

  7. I will do mate. Yeah I broke my leg in the first minute of the first pre-season friendly that season and didn't play again until half way through the next season. I only played for Marsh House for a couple of seasons - Lower Chapel and Darwen Olympic before them were my Saturday teams and then latterly the Alex/Sunnyhurst.
  8. I was in that Marsh House team but got very badly injured in a pre season friendly at Turton and missed the entire season. I spoke to Dave on Sunday, he’s bewildered at the minute.
  9. He did yeah and Lower Chapel Olympic prior to that
  10. The Sex Pistols - Pretty Vacant
  11. Simply Red - The Right Thing
  12. That was my first full season supporting the Rovers Lennie
  13. I thought the same when I read that post as well tbh

  17. The Supremes - Forever Came Today
  18. Rod Stewart - Little Miss Understood
  19. This has really knocked me for six. Matt’s dad was a teammate of mine for years and a fantastic bloke (and no mean footballer either). Matt was the same age as my youngest son as well. No parent should ever have to bury their child. Thoughts are with Dave and all the Sillitoe family today. RIP Matthew.
  20. Nick Drake - One Of These Things First
  21. It was definitely Frank Sinatra Gav. Parky is on record as saying he is the one he regrets having never interviewed. Edit: found it https://metro.co.uk/2023/08/18/michael-parkinson-regret-death-88-frank-sinatra-19355116/amp/
  22. Cat Stevens - First Cut Is The Deepest
  23. The Jam - News of the World
  24. Ben Harper -The Woman In You
