  1. That’s not how it works though is it? we are fully capable of beating Leicester, we just need the right team selection and to be at it.
  2. Football is a strange game - Rovers score the next goal and it’s all to play for. Didn’t Ipswich throw away a two goal lead to lose in a recent home game? That will be playing on their minds IF we score next. Yes my glass is half full today…
  3. The Beatles - I Call Your Name
  4. Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Don’t Cry No Tears
  5. I seem to remember two in back-to-back games around Christmas (Sunderland away and Boro at home)?
  6. There are very few 'easy' games in this league. I'm not a fan of looking too far ahead fixtures-wise tbh.
  7. It wasn't. I agree that Rain got a fair bit of airplay and promotion but it wasn't released as a double A record in the way that Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out, Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane and others were.
  8. Telalovic hadn’t been signed at that point though so who knows?
  9. No it genuinely wasn’t - Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane was a double A (whatever happened to them?). The Beatles released quite a few and actually The Jam themselves released three of them. The best Beatles B Side (in my opinion) was ‘Rain’.
  10. I'm not too concerned with them being top in September. If they are top in April and/or May, I would be pretty bothered by that I think.
  11. Penny Lane wasn't a 'B' Side Tyrone.
  12. The Jam - The Butterfly Collector Arguably the greatest 'B' Side of all time.
  13. George Jones - A Good Year For The Roses (Not written by Elvis Costello, as many people think, nor George Jones for that matter!)
  14. Wilson Pickett - Mustang Sally
  15. Bob Dylan - Knockin' On Heaven's Door
  16. Chas and Dave - Rabbit
  17. Simply Red - So Not Over You
  18. Ocean Colour Scene - Golden Gate Bridge
  19. Jason’s football intelligence was immense. He made the best of his talents but also knew how to bring the best out of those around him. Ask King Alan.
  20. Ah good old Jimmy. They were happy days Tony and it was brilliant how they let the likes of Patty, Eggy, me and our kid learn from the likes of Malcolm and Frank O’Kane while we were still just schoolboys was fantastic.
  21. I trained with Malcolm a few times when he was just about at the end of his career (at Darwen). Lovely unassuming fella.
  22. There certainly was at least one poster who suggested that JDT only put the lad on to show Venkys the dross he’s having to put up with up front, and he won’t be playing him again. I can’t be arsed to trawl for it but there are always people on this board - and on the ground - who do write players off very quickly and it has happened since time immemorial. To suggest otherwise is nonsense.
  23. I actually snorted out loud laughing at this. Great post mate ha ha ha
  24. The Jam - Little Boy Soldiers
  25. The Jam - Just Who Is The Five O'Clock Hero?
