  1. I think quite a few songs get repeated mate. As long as it doesn’t get really obvious a blind eye is normally turned - we can’t expect folk to check back before every post 😉
  2. The Undertones - A Kiss In the Dark
  3. Elvis Costello and the Attractions - Tears Before Bedtime
  4. Belinda Carlisle - Heaven Is A Place On Earth
  5. Where's that kid that lived down near Brockhall and used to watch training from his bedroom window then post the line-up on a Friday afternoon on here when you need him?
  6. The Beautiful South - Don't Marry Her, Fuck Me
  7. Yeah and in the scheme of things he wasn’t very old either.
  8. That must have been around the same time he was interviewed for TV and radio by Paul Weller - PW said it was the only time he has ever been in awe of another artist (and he has played with just about everyone).
  9. James Taylor - Something In The Way She Moves
  10. Andy Fairweather Low - Wide Eyed and Legless
  11. The Style Council - One Nation Under a Groove
  12. Ocean Colour Scene - The Day We Caught The Train
  13. He was fine at no 3 before he was captain and seeing as he isn’t captain any longer he’ll be fine there again.
  14. Queen - Another One Bites The Dust
  15. And yet moving him to 3 contributed to us winning the game, because Brook would likely not have scored 75 batting at 3.
  16. Buddy Holly - True Love Ways
  17. A couple of pals of mine played in the Weller band that supported Blur at Wembley Stadium at the weekend. One of them is a Bristol Rovers fan and we regularly have a bit of footie banter. His latest is “I’ve played at the ‘new’ Wembley before Blackburn Rovers have”. 😨 Weller has big bollocks for not playing a ‘greatest hits’ set in that situation, which is one of the many things that sets him apart from his peers in this observer’s opinion. ✊🏻💥
  18. John Lennon - Working Class Hero
  19. Snap - Rhythm Is a Dancer
  20. They are very stubborn. That is the kindest thing I can think of to say about Foakes’s omission.
  21. Chris Woakes is a terrific cricketer in English conditions. It has been a magnificent series so far and both teams deserve immense credit. There’s hardly been a dull moment.
