  1. the fact that we’re relying and creating chances for center halves is as much the problem as their inability to finish.
  2. Exactly how I thought it would go.
  3. Don’t blame Khadra one bit for not playing square to Gally
  4. Gallagher touch is sooo bad. That break is ruined by is touch 10 yards away
  5. We don’t make changes before 70 min. Dack to come on for 2 maybe 3 touches.
  6. Rothwell since the transfer window has been a different player. No driving runs, sitting deeper, not involved. Not sure if it’s tactical or what but I’d pull him off for Dack. He’s been a passenger for 2 months.
  7. We’ve seen us go up a man and loft 60 crosses in to no body. We might need to have 2 sent off to score.
  8. I think we’re over 800 min now. Around 9 full matches since our last one
  9. Best chance is created with two backs in the attack and furthest forward. It highlights the issue, we’re relying on defenders for goals. Never a great strategy.
  10. As soon as I say that we take all the air out of the ball. Very boring.
  11. Game opening up a bit here. They still look like the side more likely to get a goal however
  12. Best movement ive seen from Gally there. Final ball a bit disappointing but the rest wasn’t terrible
  13. Read the LT piece where TM say Giles best position is right forward!?!? Did he watch a different game than me on Tuesday? Giles looked completely out of sorts in the right. Running around the ball several times to play it with his left instead of his right. He’s a quality player, no doubt, and will produce there, but it was very evident he wasn’t as comfortable there as he would have been on the left. I’m shocked, even though I shouldn’t be. After all this guy thinks Gallagher is a wide forward and Buckley a false 9…still I’m amazed to read those comments as I assumed there’s some other reason for his selections.
  14. From TMs comments Dack will be on the bench and available for 20 min max. So I assume we start: Kamenski Lenihan Van Heck Warton JRC Travis Pickering Rothwell Dolan Khadra Buckley subs to be Giles for Pickering, Gallagher for Dolan and Dack for Buckley. All to come on around 70 min (TM doesn’t make tactical changes before then) to try and rescue the match and get us a goal. Final 1-1. I fear, though Dolan will be left out so Gallagher can waste opportunities, give away possession and display complete incompetence. In which case I suspect we lose 0-1
  15. It was quality up until the final third, but thats been the case for 8 matches now. Playing a right left back at right forward, a center mid as a false 9 and Gally at all, but wide left....it was the only outcome that we'd struggle to score. The thing these last 8 matches have proven is that we dont have many proven finishers in the side. And the opportunities we are creating are falling to center backs, wing backs or others who have less than 10 goals to their name in their careers. It's really not surprising were struggling to score. We create chances but those chance need to fall to players that can finish, and unfortunately at the moment we dont have any of those players.
  16. Still getting used to our system. Maybe in a few weeks he will learn to play our style
  17. While I’ll concede it’s maddening to see our 5 million pound 6’4” center forward play wide, it’s less troubling than seeing his inability to control a ball, win a header or make any movement into a dangerous position in anticipation of a ball played in and then get handed a contract extension
  18. Over 700 min now. Almost a milestone to be that poor.
  19. Should be dropped. Rather see Vale get 90 than watch him for 1 min
  20. The only system Gallagher is suited for is beer league. Can’t win a header, can’t get into space, can’t control the ball. He does do a good job of tracking back, which is useless for a center forward.
  21. Plan A always works. Never need anything different
  22. The system does accommodate a #9 but does allow for left wing backs to play as right forwards.
  23. We play with one striker (if you can call him that) out wide 6 defenders and 3 center kids…and we wonder why we can’t score
