  1. Poveda may not be fit to play again this year, so he could be left out without much fuss
  2. “The EFL's list of regulations say that a club can name a maximum of five loan players on a team sheet for any individual match.” khadra, Van Hecke, Zeefuik, poveda, but I’m not sure poveda will ever be on a team sheet for us.
  3. This is so true but you wonder why/how we were able to get £3.3 million. Bournemouth held all the cards and if JR was only going to play there…they should be buying him for what we paid for hedges.
  4. Right but we certainly could have seen if there were any other offers. Could he go to Newcastle for 2 million? Rather get less and not send him to Bournemouth
  5. Why would TM want to sell him so bad. Seems like what makes the mists sense is Bournemouth are offering 2x what we did and 5x his current pay. Misses wants to move. So off he goes. Not sure the idea that there’s some secrete plot to running off a key player in the middle of a promotion push makes sense
  6. Agreed and then if you’re not going to play him, do you want to have money for replacements or put a u23 in there?
  7. Not sure TM won’t see Gally sliding right into the Rothwell role
  8. That entire list feels like wages and names are in revere order of each other.
  9. It doesn’t. Just paying a 27 year old those wages on 1/2 a season of success. Don’t get me wrong I’d prefer we have him, but if Bournemouth don’t go up that wage bill will catch up to them
  10. But I thought we sold our training grounds to cover that? I was told the AA sales is on this years books.
  11. How can they afford those wages and not be under embargo…oh wait.
  12. Never in a million years should we be paying £11,000 per week for Poveda. Even if he was healthy
  13. I’d guess we won’t pay a 27 year old on his last major contract what he’s worth. Rather spend it on a 24 year old that could be sold for value
  14. Did we not get 15 mil for AA this summer? How can we not afford 5 and think of the wages off the books from last year. Surely we can spend 1.7 above what we sold JR for
  15. 6 months ago had someone offered 3.3 million for Rothwell and we were told the money was to be reinvested, most of us would have bitten the hand off Bournemouth for the cash.
  16. I’d send him there on a fee of $100 then. Unless there’s a league in the Antarctic interested.
  17. They also said Ronaldinho was coining in…so I don’t put a ton of weight behind their statements.
  18. https://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/2021/12/2/22812947/midweek-musings-whats-up-with-ovie-ejaria-reading-fc-royals honest write up on his abilities and why he might be available.
  19. If fit I’d guess Dack would play the false 9 and Buckley playing deeper. But let’s face it Dack won’t be in contention until March at best.
  20. Yeah if you were his advisor that’s exactly what you’d be saying. ”What if you get hurt and I miss out on my cut of your massive pay raise!”
  21. https://fawslfulltime.co.uk/2022/01/28/blackburn-rovers-confirm-double-addition-of-defender-cunningham-and-midfielder-zajmi/ at the rate we’re going, these two could be in line for starts with our first team.
  22. “At this moment, I've had long chats with him. It was a Joe decision (not to play). If he's got a potential deal somewhere that is going to change the rest of his life and he wants to see whether it's right or wrong, I don't want him to come here and fight like we did today and I question his manliness.”
  23. At this point his head and heart aren’t with us. If we keep him he’s not going to be fully committed. So we keep a player against his desire and lose him for nothing or we sell, get two players in who see our position in the table as an opportunity to go up, and are driven to do so. I’d take the latter.
  24. I’m sure he would have played if his head was right but agree, not a match suited to his skills
  25. Seemed pretty inconspicuous at first. Thought maybe it was an elbow to the head. Hope he just bit his tongue
