I am happy to hold my hands and say I was wrong on this so far.
It will be interesting to see how teams played who have been good runs after the 5 weeks gap for the World cup
Yeah, your opinion on the Dingles and being at the bottom end surprised me. You are not usually so far off.

How is Rothwell doing anyway?
-
Would have to say Rovers being Rovers we lose this one Tony being ex manager and all. Would love for Tomasson to give his side a beating. Imagine Mowbray being up for this one.

And, for what it's worth, I'd rather have A.Wharton over Rothwell every day of the week.
Me too everytime.

We won but OMG had we been 4 up at half time as we should have been that 2nd half would not have caused me more years off me life. Take the 3 points but still much work to be done.

There is another option, just don't say anything at all.
Certainly don't say something as patronisingly stupid as George Hirst was our number 1 target and we've been chasing him all Summer.Hirst, don't think he has it, that's one thing but I think he is a bit lazy and looks scared to get stuck in to me and that is not OK. I noticed him closing down up front on a couple of occasions, full steam ahead to the opponent yet when he got within a few yards he stopped or slowed down avoiding having to get stuck in. I would have yanked him unceremoniously after the 2nd one.

The winner came from his naivety as a young footballer!
And the ref not seeing two fouls unless he took it that the pull cancelled out the push.

It's on ESPN in the USA so I'll see the game. Expect another defeat, Rovers winning percentage when I watch is atrocious.
Did you know ESPN dies an On Demand where you can see the game after the fact. Just found this out will save me a bundle in missed wages.

What I do NOT want to see tonight is more fannying about with the ball at the back. When did it ever lead to a goal (except against us)
We saw too much of that again, sooner or later one team is going to have a field day and totally embarrass us.
I am just not seeing the style of play that JDT said he wanted to play. Why on earth does Hirst get to take the Penalty.

Underwhelmed to say the least. Markanday has caught my eye more than this fella and he seems to be in Siberia somewhere. Please prove me wrong cos we splashed decent cash and this calls into question the recruitment skills of our DoF and manager.

I hope Diaz is back to his best, looked kike he might have had one eye on Chile last game. These breaks stink, this whole World Cup mid season thing stinks too. Not sure this is going to be a proper season, players will be distracted by the upcoming event. Even after I thinkn t will take some time to get into the daily grind again.
What a cluster f by FIFA.

Opinions Eh. You don't see us getting out of the group. I don't see us losing a group game.
After watching USA the other night maybe we will. Yeah opinions.

Markanday hasn't be selected for the 18-man match day squad and he hasn't been on injured.
Any thoughts on why Chaddy, what's your opinion on it? To me he has looked good enough.
To add my tuppence worth GB should be given a pat in the back for getting Ash and Adam signed up. I was convinced we would lose one or both so kudos to GB and probably so.e for JDT as it sounds kike the manager is a good positive influence for these kids.

So none of our downside was Tonys fault, what a plonker. He had miney to spend in January when we were 2nd and he and only he chose not to. Remember the "we din't play that way" line as a readon not to sign a striker and that was nit the first time he CHOSE not to spend.

1-0 to the 4 L's.

Pope was terrible, thought James looked really good, better even once Daka and Mount came on. Ehat a shame Pope spilled that shot would have been a great win itherwise and one for the confidence. Hope Maguire never kicks a ball for England again. He's lost something, like his heads gone. Don't see us getting out the group.

I thought the point of the Academy was to provide us with our own top players so we didn't have to buy them.
Sort of what I thought.

Fair play for showing his face but I can tell from listening for a minute or two that its just the usual platitudes, Waggott is great, Tomasson is great, the owners are great, everything is great. Always going to be the case, especially on official channels which to an extent is fair enough.
He won't be asked tough questions despite mentioning FFP early, ie how can Brereton's stay possibly be justified in line with that? How can teams like Brentford be mentioned yet we don't sell our assets AND reinvest.
On the transfer front, was Hirst really Tomasson's first choice? Why was Morton the only addition to an area in which we are so light and lacking in physicality and experience? What made us spend so much of our budget on an attacking midfielder with a questionable track record, and how can he not make the bench now others are fit? What is the expectation of Mola? How much money was left in the pot on the last day? How much of the Brereton funds would have been available had we sold him? And crucially, what exactly is the process in picking and signing players?
Off the field, mention Preston etc in the North West, our prices are much higher and our figures are lower, why is nothing done?
And why. has Markanday vanished? I thought he looked decent. Is he injured what?

Baffles me the negativity from some fans of ours it really does.
Yes it'll be a tricky game but to just write it off as a loss is bonkers.
Watford haven't won a game away all season for crying out loud and that includes games against Rotherham, Birmingham, Preston. Are we really much worse than those?!?
1-1 draw.
That's it then, Bristol had not won away either. We fix what ever is ailing our opponents away win banker now.

Plenty of people critical of the previous regime in allowing (whether by design or not), players contracts to expire. Finally with GB it seems the penny has dropped and the new policy is to be proactive rather than reactive. Not before time but kudos to Broughton for this.
Agree to a degree, not sure I would have given Buckley 5 years, not based on his poor play so far this season.
Adam and Ash, get em signed up and from my very limited watching of these two young Wharton would be my priority over Phillips. Get em both signed. Lengthy contract with a low basic and some very sweet performance related extras.

I think lower end, 15-29 in that region, don't see us clicking 100% for some time perhaps after the January window if JDT has Greg's support to buy who HE wants rather than Greg's selections. Not saying JDT not involved but just my suspicion GB may have pulled rank in at least one signing, SS fir me was a GB firced signing. Of course this is mere speculation and I am not intending to stir the pot. Just that one signing thus far feels odd.
